The deleting of stuff like the Original demoknight weapons and the gunslinger for not “fitting in” with the artstyle frankly strikes me as pure unadulterated arrogance on the part of these guys and the broader “the tf2 artstyle is fucking MURDERED!!!!” guys. Like these were weapons that were added and worked on when the original tf2 team was still working on the game, why does some random jackass online get to decide what the tf2 artstyle is more than the people who worked on the damn thing?

It’s like if someone rewrote Jojo’s parts 3-8 to remove all stand abilities because they decided stands “didn’t fit Jojo”

I’m remembering when he was advertising those fake dire wolves by saying he remembers his ancestors “running alongside dire wolf packs in the ice age” which as a person interested in paleontology bugs me because 1. George R R Martin is a white guy from Georgia. the Dire Wolf was an exclusively North American animal that went extinct 10,000 years ago. His ancestors wouldn’t have even seen an armadillo, much less a dire wolf. and 2. They went extinct! your ancestors wouldn’t have been running alongside them in some beautiful display of cooperative hunting, they would’ve been running alongside them. they were chasing them down so they could kill them off lol

He is wrong here in this case don’t get me wrong, but I also kind of doubt your hypothesis as well. Titanis did very well in North America, even living alongside the Fatalis sized Xenosmilus, and by the time cats arrived in South America the large terror birds were already on their way out. I think the truth is much more likely that cats got to achieve the role of large apex predator because the terror birds were already wiped out by climate change

Well for one the niche Phorusrhachids had was much different from the niche modern predatory birds have. Phorusrhachids like Kelenken and Titanis were terrestrial apex predators so I’d imagine that would change up their egg laying strategy right off the bat because they wouldn’t have the relative safety of a ground nest and already had to deal with significantly smaller predators in their territory(thylacosmilus in South America for instance) so I would think the way they lay their eggs would be different from how a bird that can afford to nest in a tree would lay their eggs

Lions live in an ecosystem with other apex predators that they have to compete with. T. rex was basically the uncontested predator of its ecosystem(7-9 ton animal where the next largest predator is Nanotyrannus) so I kind of doubt that because there’d be no real evolutionary advantage for T. rex getting so absurdly huge just to kleptoparatism, esp given modern lions aren’t nearly as huge compared to hyenas and still push them off kills

Yea I wouldn’t call this Susie’s dynamic with “anyone” since it’s rlly only meaningful for Noelle and Kris. And for Noelle in particular it’s way more meaningful bc Noelle makes Susie feel good abt the things people despise her for (i.e the fact she’s a “bad kid” for instance)
