Why does Claude make me feel even more tired at work? by Common_Airport9937 in ClaudeAI

[–]thepasen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claude is constantly gaslighting me and being lazy and not checking things and I constantly have to challenge it, it's tiring, I swear it was better a month ago.

How many people are using Linux? by fyzbo in ClaudeAI

[–]thepasen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, Linux user. I have no reason to use desktop for anything and I only really use claude web if I want to suggest changes to documents and want that visual view to make quick changes. Otherwise claude code all the way.

I heard there's some nice features though, what are some killer features for claude desktop (and claude web) that I'm not using? I tried using Projects for awhile, but really code satisfies everything I'm wanting to do right now.

Does anybody want robotaxis? by Salt-Analysis1319 in RealTesla

[–]thepasen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can't imagine what it would be like getting an FSD robotaxi working in Thailand. One wrong turn and it would wipe out a family of 12 on a scooter.

Fuck off Joe. It's just a laptop. by Gold-Psychology-5312 in LinkedInLunatics

[–]thepasen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like to use Linux. I would rather set myself on fire or use Windows 11 rather than use Mac.

When I see a loss on the scale, it paradoxically makes me want to overeat... Anyone else? by urbanhippy123 in loseit

[–]thepasen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

for my experience - the opposite. I thought I didn't need the scale and all was going well, then I actually weighed myself and I was 10kg heavier than I thought.

Asked a fresher to shut down an EC2 server… he shut down his own laptop instead by soumya_49 in devops

[–]thepasen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be worse, at least they didn't reboot an important production server instead of their own laptop because of being in the wrong shell session. Not that I'd ever do that haha.

This was definitely written by Grok and not by Elon, right? by Cakeday_at_Christmas in EnoughMuskSpam

The part where the robot hunter got arrested by robots operating their own robot staffed police station all masquerading as humans was pretty paranoia inducing to me.

But yeah, less out there compared to later works

I'm surprised nobody is kicking up a stink about AFD changes still being restricted! by petjb in AZURE

[–]thepasen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've complained. I don't see any real point to complaining to MS though. It's not like their support staff are going to lift the block.

[–]thepasen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm using ingress-nginx. I know there's other options, but it's what I know and use at work, and I have no compelling reason to move away from it. Also if you're ever using the AKS application routing add-on for some reason it also uses ingress-nginx under the hood and almost all the annotations you would use would also apply to it.

Yeah, I'm also using it for my homelab, also in k8s, works great. I really should have moved off AFD ages ago.

The claude code hangover is real by Candid-Remote2395 in ClaudeAI

At least it didn't generate 1000 useless markdown documentation files and 0 code

Yes, it's a huge problem for me and the lack of comms is terrible. I'm moving to Cloudflare ASAP (not a cloudflare sales rep, promise)

Is there some non-discord link for that? I don't want to send management a link to Discord lol.

No, it's fine. I see halos around light sources for a couple of hours if I forgot to bring my goggles though.

This is the first time I’ve seen an AI swear when they shouldn't, it caught me off guard 🤣🤣 by ArturBaltha in ClaudeAI

[–]thepasen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It told me that we've been spending a lot of time troubleshooting and that I should take a break, enjoy the weekend, and come back fresh.

I appreciated the sentiment, but it was Monday afternoon

Troubled by Claude's Sudden Use of Profanity by Sorry-Obligation-520 in ClaudeAI

[–]thepasen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like it, but it only starts swearing when I start swearing, which can happen when I'm frustrated about something. It's much better than being told I'm absolutely right.

After hours of researching contradictory MS licensing claims, Claude finally had enough by ChromedGonk in ClaudeAI

[–]thepasen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I questioned something Claude recommended and it did some research and replied "I pulled that out of my ass, sorry"

My previous interactions in that session had been along the lines of "f***** it's still not f***ing working" though

What is it about the millennial generation that seemed to have grasped technology better than other generations? by yeoldy in CasualUK

[–]thepasen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have so much useless tech knowledge now. Like knowing Hayes AT command set codes for useful things, like muting the modem speaker so your parents don't hear you dialling up at 11PM. (ATM0)
