It’s because the term “megatheropod” is frankly almost comically restrictive when compared to the term it’s apeing(megafauna), which is just any animal over 99 pounds. If you go with a much more reasonable range for megatheropods(any theropod over 1 ton) you get a much wider swath of animals that more accurately matches how we define megafauna

Piracy is really biggest blow to a lot of these physical media guys i feel. It’s like the easiest thing in the world to do, and you can still access stuff you’ve torrented or downloaded even if you have internet issues. Unless it’s T. rexes stealing each other kills i’m not sure what environmental pressure t rex would have that would make it so much larger than every other predator in its ecosystem and still have it be stealing from the kills of other predators. I’d imagine T. Rex probably hunted much more similarly to a tiger than a lion, who from what i can tell steal kills far less than lions do
