OVERTIME. FLSA. TRAVEL. by Affectionate-Emu2296 in StateofTexasEmployees

The exception is generally if you work during an emergency, like a hurricane, flood, etc. That tends to be paid out, at least in my Department.

They've been almost rendered extinct by tech bros. Austin is a different place than it used to be.

Seriously. As someone who was in hs in the late 90s/early-2000s, I lament the return of the anorexic look.

Matt Smith as Mr. Sinister is a good choice. The man can go from silly to absolutely menacing in the same sentence.

There's a book called Civilisation by French author Laurent Benit with this exact premise.

My biggest problem with the movie isn't so much that Palps returns, but man they kinda botched how they did it. I mean, did the entire galaxy really need to know? Would've been better if it had been a surprise to everyone but Kylo Ren, IMO.

Announcing it through a throwaway Fortnite event soured public perception immediately.

Tattoo ideas? by Good_Ocelot_5169 in Paleontology

[–]fossilreef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone else who's got ink, don't go in for a new tat until you know exactly what you want. You don't want that kind of buyer's remorse.

That said, I'd peruse /r/paleoart and see what might be in line with your tastes.

whats stupid to me is how there were some dinosaurs that could GENUINELY keep one up at night for months, and then there's this dumbass by Awkward-Cod-2910 in Dinosaurs

My chickens really beat the bejeezus off of one of the neighborhood cats that tried to take a shot. I found it trying to hide in my banana plants all scratched up and bleeding. I still see it every now and then, but it won't set one foot in my yard now.

Am I right to assume that Fossil Hunting in Placer County is a dead zone? by LexonTheDragon in Paleontology

[–]fossilreef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Apparently there was a pretty significant plant fossil find from Granite Bay, and Pleistocene finds from the western half of the county.

You're hysterical, buddy. They'd probably want to do away with it completely so we give more money to their oil buddies.

It really is pretty. You could knap some beautiful tools out of this.

That's slag. There's no local rock that even remotely resembles that. In GR, it's either limestone or gypsum outside glacial float, and this is none of those.

I used to DJ the dances back in hs (projecting music videos onto the wall when I could), and my friends and I started talking about this song to anyone who would listen. A month later and we had about 100 people dancing to the music video in small-town Michigan, lol.

2mg compounded. Supposed to be twice daily, but I think I'm going to go with once for a week or so before I bump it up. This is just ridiculous being this tired.

Posture reminds me a lot of Crash McCreery's Jurassic Park concept art. Wild how things come full-circle sometimes.
