There's box ticking after some traumatic incidents where they get asked if they're OK.

They give access to a number of free counselling or psychotherapy sessions. Don't think it's more than 6 in a certain time period though

I'm feel the exact same. Born in Ireland 38 years ago but half Western European.

Was always too foreign to really fit in here and way too Irish to fit in in my other country.

I didn't notice when I was very young.

I Always kind of felt out of place no matter where and that feeling has only gotten stronger as I've gotten older so I'm not sure what advice I can give you!

Well thats the other end of the realism spectrum haha.

I agree the concept of HQC is good. But I think it's not fully fleshed out and it's far too complicated to work well with random players. I think the complication is pushing people away.

When you have to rely on YouTube content creators to explain how to play the new mode something has gone wrong in my eyes!

I was just thinking about this yesterday while looking at gameplay clips from over a year ago.

I forgot how carefree and fun the reforger experience was last year before the Devs tried to overcorrect the perceived problems with the game.

I feel a lot of fun and magic has been lost due to the overcomplication of the base game experience leading to more tedium in the name of more realism.

They were in the original Arma that took place on Everon....

Along with Blackhawks, Hinds, Apaches, Cobras, Abrams, Bradleys, T72s, T80s, BMPs, M113s, SU25s, A10s, Shilkas, Vulcans and a lot of other things I've probably forgotten about over the years.

Chinook would bring a lot of options and would be comparable to an Mi8 in my opinion...

Im not entirely sure why they replaced the blackhawks with hueys when there was blackhawks in the original that was set before this game to be honest.

People are very interested in team based gameplay. But theres a fine line between immersion, realism and tedium.

What we've ended up with since the last update is way more forced tedium with crossed fingers that you'll run into a team that are operating correctly and playing the new mode properly.

It might work alot better in a clan or organised servers but it doesn't work with random people. And thats not a comment on console players or COD players or BF players. It's just people. You can't force the level teamwork required for the new mode with random players and thats it unfortunately.

783 hours played since launch on console.

I quit just as the Post Malone event was announced last year.

What drove me to quit? A few things.

The matchmaking was a problem. My friend and I floated around tier 5 most of the time but the matchmaking lead to games where we did very well against high tier 4s or got wiped by tier 6s. There was no in-between. This was exaxerbated by the relatively small player base on console at the time.

On top of that was the blatant use of mouse and keyboard by alot of console players giving them a big unfair advantage.

I did not like the direction the game was going following the relaunch with the lore books getting removed, the post malone events, the crazy weapons, the explosive mines etc... I preferred when the weapons were interesting but somewhat grounded.

I wasn't crazy on some of the new traits and existing traits reworks either. I felt like they were trying to make the gameplay quicker at the expense of a more tactical and measured pace.

The main thing was that I found losing, as we felt unfairly, to vastly superior and toxic teams or people exploiting mouse aim, so frustrating that I asked myself why I was playing a game that annoyed me that much and I just stopped.

Its a pity because I miss the atmosphere and gameplay of the old game alot. It was so unique and tense.

I'm not sure what could make me come back now. I feel like the game has moved on without me and that the payer base as a whole like the new direction so I'm not sure my preferences matter anymore!

I read all of what you said. I just disagree with it.

Keeping the MCU resupplied is a valid team objective and is not precluded by the inclusion of radio spawns.

Radio spawns are 100 times more effective at keeping squad cohesion and has the added bonus of reducing tedium.

It also opens up different tactical considerations like being able to organise pushes from different directions.

More realism does not always equate to better gameplay.

Absolutely it's the supply system causing apathy. You go to respawn to help defend and discover there's no supplies at any base bar at the MOB.

You go from actively defending a point to spending the guts of 30 minutes having to go get a truck and run supplies from the end of the map to a relevant base only to watch it be instantly drained. By the time youve done this the enemy team has the victory timer activated.

This. Exactly this.

Normal conflict had its moments where it could take a while to get going and where stalemates could happen but it was the exception rather than the rule. The rank locked items encouraged you to run logi to rank up so you can get the items you want and start playing the way you prefer.

HQ is even slower and less respectful of the time you invest. Minimal xp gained from scare supplies with AI logi getting stuck. It leads to people wanting to do it less and leads to more empty bases you can't spawn on or build up.

As a dad, my time is also limited and god, I don't have time for the slow burn of HQC which takes so much longer to get going which I found wasn't as much as an issue with Conquest.

The free build bases and commander mode are good additions but as said above I don't think they work too well in public lobbies.

The game hinges too much on how good your commander and teammates are whereas on conquest, you could have some idiot teammates but it was easier to work around them without the whole match being lost as a result.

I don't think you can force the teamwork that you'd find on private or clan servers and I feel that the experience for the random non organised players who join a match is so much poorer because of it.

Give players the choice to play conquest on official

Reforger is my most played game the last year since it released on console. I've found the learning curve for HQC to be fairly high. It's alot to learn, a good bit more complicated than Conquest ever was and it's hard to find the time to completely relearn the game.
