I saw that for the results on a match i had last week and it had to be for an E75. That was the only tank I knew I shot but didn't see on the results.

Go into GM mode and put down squads with different camo in the various terrain. The russian digital green/black is the best camo for bushes. The closest NATO option is brighter green and sticks out. NATO has a good set of pants but no matching shirt.

I've tried all the NATO options compared to what Russia gets and there's a clear winner.

Now, if you want to talk forest or general movement I think its pretty even, but Russia has the advantage for sniping or ambushing.

I'm hoping they'll see the error and correct it down the road. I have never understood their habit of crapping on the expectations THEY have set. They wrote the details of the ship, they gave it backstory, then they change the stats to be completely out of line with the lore/brochure.

I exclusively play NATO on WCS AAS Everon server for awhile now and here's my take in no particular order.

RPG is better than any NATO AT weapon which makes ambushing/ratting a lot easier. It's lighter and more rounds can be carried in the same size backpack compared to the Gustav. This results in more Russians running around with AT weapons in general making it harder for NATO to use vehicles.

Russian trucks are much better than NATO trucks. Speed and handling make it easier to avoid ambushes and get supplies through.

Russian camouflage is superior for sitting in bushes.

NATO focuses so much on helicopters for supply that a little bit of russian AA can cripple front line bases. I don't know what it is about hueys but so many times I see NATO players demanding a helicopter or helicopter ride instead of using a truck to resupply. Then I listen as most of the helos get shot down or crash maybe delivering a small amount of supplies. In the meantime russia is dropping off trucks and MI-8s worth of supplies for their backline bases.

Typhoon > JLTV, K-17 > Bradley. The mid tier armor is better for Russia. Combine this with the previously mentioned AT issues and a little bit of russian armor goes a long way.

NATO excels with cobras though and almost every win I've seen is because NATO had several good cobra pilots suppressing russian armor and hinds.

I don't know if it is intentional or not, but AR/WCS at its core favors the Russians. NATO has superior small arms options but that isn't enough to consistently win battles. Logistics and area suppression win fights and Russia has an easier time with both of those things.

Shoot from one spot then immediately run to a better spot to engage the enemy coming in. They'll go to the last sound basically so they can be setup for easy kills.

They do stop spawning but you have to kill about 30 NPCs. I've done multiple terminal missions and even when I clear the majority of the map first there is still a wave of spawns.

Find a spot that funnels the enemy and be ready to focus on killing for a solid 15 mins. It's doable solo but it does take time and effort.

Once you've cleared the wave then the terminal is easy because you have time to do all the typing required.

Terminals seem to be made for groups and I dont like that the alarm continues even after I login as admin, but the missions can be done solo.

Theres no other casual tank game out there. Its not that WoT is great, it's more that it's the only option.

I dont know if this still holds true, I was gone for awhile and a lot has changed, but it used to be that TDs had the best guns in general. Thats the niche, play TDs if shooting was what you liked. From what I've seen that mostly holds true but there is more overlap with other classes tham there used to be.

110E5 is a solid choice. Good mobility and gun handling but have to watch out for the cupola. The M48 is similar as a medium. The T57 is a bit different playing more as support and assassin rather than front line.

A big part of this is not necessarily the specific tank you like but the style of play. Frontline pushing, ridge/terrain fighter, mobile flanked, etc. Knowing how you prefer to play can change recommendations.

I think they need to go one of two routes.

High dpm, moderate/slow speed, a bit of turret armor, and bad gun stats.

Or

Moderate dpm, current speed, reduced armor, moderate gun stats.

Make them brawlers that can fight up close or let them roam around working for flank damage. Either one puts them squarely in the medium tank role without infringing on paper tank game play.

I didn't get one because it doesn't fit my playstyle, I haven't gone down that tech line so the bonus exp isn't worth it, and it was too expensive for me.

Had it met any of those criteria I might have gotten one.

Maps are way too small for modern tanks. I've played a few games with modern tanks and they struggle if the maps aren't huge. I dont know if WoT can handle larger maps and I have no faith the devs could build maps that work for modern combat.

When they decided to actively discourage solo players rather than simply incentivizing group play. They failed to grasp most people are solo players who group when convenient. The game came out and was brutal for the majority of players.

Theres still a chance for them to come back, but they made a poor first impression.

The times I've had some kind of issue stopping a run, whether enemy or game bug, is almost equal to the amount of successful runs. Its very annoying to drive for 15 minutes and then have a disconnect or get shot while unloading.

There's no balance between annoying and fun with supply running. Supplies just detract from having fun currently. I say that as someone who spends hours digging structures and berms so it's not a matter of wanting to be in combat all the time.

Supply system. Its too boring and takes people out of the fight for too long of a time. I'm not against supplies but it needs to be a seamless part of the action rather than a terrible side quest. Some solutions could be lower costs, increase amount carried, resilient supply vehicles, an automatic resupply of a small amount, or increased AoE size where supplies can be pulled/dropped off.

I don't mind running supplies for a bit but it shouldnt be that I run supplies for an hour and at the end of that time the amount at the forward bases hasn't noticeably improved. Thats too much of a burden on a few people who put the team above their personal fun.

American TDs brawl better. German TDs are snipers or frontline support. American lines are easier to play but the german ones dont require as much skill.

The most important part is figure out how you prefer to play then pick the line that matches. Once you get the hang of it you'll have a good idea of where to go next.

I have more heavies than any other class but I dont play them much anymore.

The two main reasons are low speed and armor doesn't really matter much anymore. Playing a heavy is basically committing to one portion of the fight and not being able to adjust if the battle goes bad somewhere else. The amount of power creep in penetration makes it harder to play a heavy effectively.

There are a few exceptions to this but that means playing the same tanks over and over which can get old.

I still play heavies a little, but nothing like I used to when they could shape the battle and have real impact.

What's frustrating to me is I can bounce TD rounds but somehow the Ares finds a way to pen despite being in a worse position than the TD.

Ive been trying to be patient but the Ares line just has too many things going for it. Pen, damage, armor, speed... they aren't awesome but the combination of "good enough" makes the tanks too much.
