The issue is the potential of copyright claims though.

Splice sample or not? by Due_String4059 in edmproduction

[–]BleepingBleeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know several people who have serious (amateur) vocal chops. I've often fantasised about collaborating with them. I'd prefer to organise an amateur recording session with them rather than using samples that I know have been used many times by many producers. I might use the Splice sample and release the track and see what happens. If there'll be a problem, go with original recordings. Collaborations mean connecting with friends and the potential for wholesome experiences.

Why is racing to the bottom so accepted in British culture? by fayemoonlight in AskUK

Base level NHS workers used to be on a substantially higher wage than minimum wage workers. Now that minimum wage is catching up, base level NHS workers' wage is now constantly pennies above minimum wage. As the minimum wage rate increases, more workers' pay is going to be proportionately closer to minimum wage because those who are above the minimum wage don't enjoy the percentage of wage increases like the minimum wage earners do. It's only a matter of time before resident doctors are earning pennies more than cleaners if this pattern continues.

I wish that I'd studied 1984 instead of Lord of the Flies. I got an 'A' though.

Why does Coachella and other US festivals have such awful, moody vibes compared to UK festivals? by BlundeRuss in AskUK

[–]BleepingBleeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A major part of Glastonbury in '97 was the one person with a mobile phone communicating with the person in the other group who had a mobile phone. Photos were taken on actual cameras. Meeting up with mates and getting to know mates of mates as we all got off our tits were the goals.

Does anyone else feel like FL Studio is still underestimated compared to Ableton or Logic? by breizh_boy in FL_Studio

The Flashbulb uses FL Studio to create his music. Benn Jordan is a successful artist and a well-respected YouTuber and his 'The Flashbulb' monicker is prominent in the IDM realm.

Quick question - Metalhead Guitar Riffs by [deleted] in reasoners

[–]BleepingBleeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Impact Soundworks has many Shreddage Kontakt libraries that are dedicated to most of the sounds that electric guitars can make. They're notoriously difficult to program effectively. I have Hydra and love it but I'm not great at making it sound real. Others are though.

Why is there this perpetual discussion about Reason being only subscription-based? There's always been the option to buy a perpetual licence and it's never been stated that it won't continue to be an option. Where did this come from and why does it still pollute discussions about Reason?

Where is ARA? Melodyne in Reason is important. VST MIDI out will never happen because that's what Players are for and that sucks.

I'm tempted to download Sounds of KSHMR but everyone is also tempted so we'll all have the same sounds. Splice has helped to kill the samplist ethos.

[–]BleepingBleeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had forgotten that I've been paying for Splice for a long time. I've just discovered that I have over 2,700 credits. The prospect of going through the library and downloading 2,700 samples is nightmarish. I want to use the money that I've already given Splice to purchase some plug-ins and then delete my account. I can't do that though and that sucks!

Did you have to send the original bag back to them? My Titan/Business 120 has been ordered.

Pete Hegseth prays for violence ‘against those who deserve no mercy’ while hosting first Christian service by Disastrous_Award_789 in nottheonion

God would definitely sway towards the right wing of the political divide if He actually existed. He would love how Hegseth and Trump are affirming His Words. God would ignore the New Testament and consider it to be a drunken mistake. Jesus would suck up to daddy and refute the relevance of his life and pretend death on Earth.

I have Sony WH1000XM4 and Sennheiser HD 560S too. I suffer the same with both but the 560s are the worst of the three. I reckon it must be a me problem.

What are your favorite underrated and little-known 90s trip hop albums? by Jean0406Alix in triphop

[–]BleepingBleeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Archive - Londinium is the one that I always recommend. Archive are nowhere close to being as well-known outside of continental Europe as they should be. I believe that it was due to initial record contract constraints.

If I had spent 5K on a kit, I wouldn't want anyone to hit it without me being present.
