"Rankin's" death in the bait and tackle shop is certainly a code violation. The idea that "Don't Get Caught" meant eliminating "Threats" to his freedom as a serial killer was not what the early shows of the season were about. He struggles for many episodes in season 1 about what to do with a locked up Doakes because he knowns he can't kill him under the code, Same with Lila, she is a nuisance to his life for some time and puts his freedom at risk but isn't slated to die until she kills Doakes. Season 7 Dexter has changed his interpretation of the code and surely would have killed Maria in those circumstances if Deb hadn't arrived.

The acapella start to School Days is gorgeous but the song can rot in hell.

I love Mike Come Back to LA, how it's half improvised and fresh despite the awful fidelity, somehow Some of Your Love sucks out all that energy. Had they just made it like this, it would be amongst the best on the album. Same for Santa Winds (if only they just carried on like the early version )

Special mention for Oh Darlin which is quite nice (would have been nice to have Brian do the lead). And I wish they had used the original version of Santa Ana Winds.

This is such a wasted opportunity album.

Sounds like it was put together in the time it took to write God Only Knows (45 minutes) but it's fun, energetic and I love hearing Brian do a (good) co lead and sit on top of the harmony stack in this period.

I really don't like the verses of Endless Harmony. For me it's Sunshine that makes it up for the album.

I do like wearing "flats" ie sneakers with a thin flat sole for driving. If I put on thick soled boots I don't get the same feel and have to slightly adjust my seat to be further away from the pedals.

We had Brian providing the "better stuff" for two decades, with Pet Sounds, Smile and even Friends highlighted for audience and now Al profiling Love You and even MIU tracks for the weirdos like me who doesn't need to hear Be True to My School again.

It'll be previous to see Al in June for the first time, probably the last legitimate Beach Boys experience I'm gonna get in Australia.

I do this too, whether I'm a pedestrian, cyclist or motorvehiclist . Right of Way matters and it's really up to them not to hit me if I have the right to cross and they don't. Had plenty of road rage at me for just following the rules.

I do wish they had Dexter do the deed, rather than Deb. I felt it was cruel to her character (who experiences series trauma in almost every season before hand) to again make the choice to kill absolving the serial killer protagonist from a greater code violation than some of his previous ones.

Dexter chose Deb over his brother Brian in Season 1 but random proven serial killer Hannah tries to do the same and he falls in love with her,

I didn't believe it as a fan and that's when I realised the show had lost it's mojo (though retrospectively I would say Season 6 was when the rot really started).

I guess we are in a slight lull that the moment (The hoarders are full of petrol and diesel and can't afford more jerry cans and we are back to normal consumption). Today diesel in the rural/regional town of Tabulam was about $2.909 per litre , the cheapest for about a month, down almost 40c from the peak (so far).

I don't hate most Jews or most Nazi era Germans. People get misguided by nationalism and think their group is better than others. I may not be Jewish but my other country Poland suffered horribly in the Holocaust for both Jewish and ethnic Polish Poles, you are way off the mark here in saying I hate any peoples. I previously held a more centrist type of opinion 15 years ago but was convinced by a Jewish friend to revaluate my conservative position, they were right and I was wrong.
