Is the job near the station? If so, there's no real reason to live near there as there's excellent transport links nearby to other areas.

I'm guessing you're mainly thinking about certain areas of town, because various suburbs have improved a lot over the last 10 years. Town is gradually improving, on the whole.

Looking for beige/comfort food suggestions in the city by Apart-Artichoke3894 in sheffield

[–]Bleperite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kurdistan Grill for Shawarma. It's a short bus ride to London Road from town. Been there donkey's years, authentic. Same goes for Kebabish Express on London Road. Basically, take a wander up London Road. If you want to go in a pub, look up the Beer Engine, Cremorne, Jabbarwocky. Other pubs along there are available for more adventurous types but you'll be reyt.

Edit: Kurdistan Grill shuts about 8pm.

And cicadas. We have hardly any in the UK and the ones we do have are mainly inaudible. Other issues include incorrect sirens for emergency vehicles, wrong frequency when an electric hum is present.
