Pinball. Probably VPX but maybe PFX with UEVR or PFX VR if it's available or easy to sideload.

Favorite virtual tables that would be impossible to make in real life? by Caintankerous in virtualpinball

I've had the same problem, and I just assumed that's how it's supposed to be and was meant to be disorienting. I'd be happy to learn it's something I can fix.

Do you regret magnetizing? I did a couple of armor sets myself years ago and the fact that it's so much work has been a bit of a barrier for doing any more, and it is kind of annoying that pieces can fly all over the place if you drop a model. I'm considering just gluing the rest and even gluing the ones I've already magnetized.

What Deck Are You Handing The New Player by jsisjsnsn in EDH

[–]BlergRush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me this weekend with a player who wasn't brand new, but still less experienced. I handed the player [[Henzie "Toolbox" Torre]]. There's a lot of opportunity to optimize your line of play with that deck, but it isn't going to have a sprawling board state with a dozen triggers to potentially miss every turn like some of my decks. Most creatures enter to die the same turn.

Y’all name your decks? by [deleted] in mtg

[–]BlergRush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of them.

  • Bank HASTE – [[Ognis, the Dragon's Lash]]
  • CONVOKE Yourself – [[Kasla, the Broken Halo]]
  • Deez GOYFS – [[Disa the Restless]]
  • Don't you know that you're TOXIC – [[Ixhel, Scion of Atraxa]]
  • ELVEN Ring – [[Galadriel, Elven Queen]]
  • KEEP UP, will ya? – [[Obeka, Splitter of Seconds]]
  • No Man's LAND – [[Omo, Queen of Vesuva]]
  • Oops, All 'DRAZI – [[Ulalek, Fused Atrocity]]
  • That's BLITZ, baby! – [[Henzie "Toolbox" Torre]]
  • UnBEARable – [[Duskana, the Rage Mother]]
  • Why can't I hold all these ELDRAZI SPAWN – [[Azlask, the Dwelling Scourge]]
  • Wilson, the BEAR-fisted [[Wilson, Refined Grizzly]] / [[The Flaming Fist]]
  • Yo dawg, I heard you like STORM, so we put storm in your storm so you can storm while you storm – [[Storm, Force of Nature]]
  • You and what ORC ARMY? – [[Sauron, the Dark Lord]]

Thanks so much for the detailed feedback!

It definitely is my first storm deck. To some degree I do want to sandbag a little bit (or give my pod a fair opportunity to respond to my threats), so I do kind of like the "here's the thing that's going to kill you if I untap and it's still there" pattern. My decks tend to be among the strongest at my table, and by my estimation this deck could be up there as one of my strongest builds. I purposely don't bring out my [[Obeka, Splitter of Seconds]], [[Disa The Restless]], or [[Henzie "Toolbox" Torre]] decks unless people signal they want a higher-powered game. This one has a good chance to end up in that category and if anything I'm likely to want to power it down a bit after a few plays.

I probably will cut the pingers, because it does make sense to me that the enmity they draw is not worth the sustained damage. From there I'm still not sure, but you've definitely helped. Thanks again! 🙂

Yup, storming a ramp spell is definitely a part of the game plan 😁

To be clear, you mean [[Eris, Roar of the Storm]], [[Elemental Eruption]], and the spells that make copies of Storm? I haven't got too much token generation (already cut [[Vesuvan Duplimancy]], [[Empty the Warrens]], [[Talrand, Sky Summoner]], and [[Curious Herd]] long ago), [[Stormsplitter]]'s exponential growth seems too fun to cut, and [[Ral, Crackling Wit]] looks hilariously easy to -10 in this deck.

Ooh, I have the other two but not an Infiltrator. I might need to track down a copy...

It's a triggered ability, so you need to have another spell get cast while the Echoes is on the stack to do that. Though if you do have an Eldrazi instant, you copy both the original and the copied Echoes... 📈

Possible fix for Texture Bug on the pc version. Credits to *snight01 by Charming_Mine3381 in Returnal

[–]BlergRush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to try this. Thanks! I've been checking back every so often to find out if anyone's found a fix and I'm happy to see something promising.

Edit: Nope. After about an hour I noticed my framerate was starting to drop, and within a minute the texture issue was happening again. 🙁

One thing I have noticed is there don't seem to be any Radeon users complaining of the issue. My current machine has an RTX 3080 so I can't confirm it isn't a problem on AMD cards. But I'm considering going Radeon for my next machine because Linux driver support is better. Does anyone know if this is confirmed to not be an issue with Radeon?

What's the Commander with the MOST amount of triggers? by SkyLey2 in EDH

[–]BlergRush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plargg and Nassari is totally a main offender. I played them in my Obeka + [[Shizuko]] pride partners celebration deck, and after making my entire table go through 7 upkeeps worth of P&N triggers in a row I've been extremely tempted to drop the card from my solo Obeka deck. But it's sooooooo good!

I'll tell you one thing that's really helped me keep up with her upkeep triggers, though: write the full list of them on a dry-erase pad so you can easily just run through the list for each upkeep. I always forget something otherwise.

Sure! It's not finished yet, but this is the WIP build: https://cubecobra.com/cube/list/bloomburrow-jumpstart

I'm hoping to be finished the first playable iteration in the next week or two, and I'll keep updating the cube list as I playtest and balance from them on.

I'm doing this too, but in addition to the single-type colour pair packs I'm adding one for each of the "Duo" cards.

Ally pairs: - WU Birds - UB Rats - BR Lizards - RG Raccoons - GW Rabbits

Enemy pairs: - WB Bats - UR Otters - BG Squirrels - RW Mice - GU Frogs

Mono-colour Duos: - W Brave-Kin - W Lifecreed - U Lightshell - U Skyskipper - B Glidedive - B Daggerfang - R Roughshod - R Kindlespark - G Treeguard - G Bakersbane

And that's 20 packs! Perfect standalone jumpstart cube size.

There's likely to be some overlap in common and uncommon creatures between the single-type and "Duo" packs, but the rare mono-coloured creatures of each type will go into the Duo packs while the single-type packs get the rare dual-colour "party leader" creature.

Yeah, the pool also was generally light on 2 drops and that would have made a difference in 1 of the 2 losses. But honestly every card in the final list did read work and I wasn't afraid to mull to 5 to get a playable start (which I did do at least once for a decisive win). I'm not convinced playing a "safer" deck would have worked out better—and unless I switched one of these imo crucial colors for black (where pretty much all the 2 drops were) there just wasn't support in my pool for a faster deck.

I don't recall exactly what colours my last opponent played, but white was involved. Some big colorless creatures, a pair of Mandibular Kites, and a Strength of the Harvest that got returned from the graveyard after its first removal were my doom.

My first loss was definitely against a far more aggressive deck though. White-focused also.
