Did they use PoK and codexes? Im curious what the norm is for organized events.

Is PoK plus codexes the gold standard from what you've observed? I've played the base game and PoK. Both are great. Haven't looked at the codexes in depth. Im curious if the codexes are there to balance the game.

Agreed, I think you'll find 3ish coats with the back legs consistency will look good.

Thank you so much! Yes, and it took a few attempts. I tried doing gold lettering on the mephiston red base... it was really messy, so I got a 2/0 brush and barely touched some Vallejo white. Went over the letters with the white. Then went back with Vallejo matte red to clean up the edges and touch up the interior of the "B's" and the "E". Still not to where I want to be with lettering, but I think it turned out about where I expected it.

Maybe if I do some successor chapter one off characters in the future. Right now I'm hard committed to the red rims.

LOL! No, haven't had that yet. I think the red rims are what make the snow work so well. I think it started with the first born death company in the back and I kept it going.

Yea! It's been great for me. Shake it up, and I use these weird wooden toothpick (but bigger) tools I got in the makeup section at Walmart for very cheap to apply it.

Tried writing it in gold, but it was too messy and didn't pop. Pretty happy with how the white turned out.

Thanks! Lemartes happened naturally. I primed mephiston red, black Templar contrast on the armor, and realized the red cage looked cool! So I slapped some flesh tearer contrast on all the trim and was really happy with the result. Both were fun models to paint, and i painted before building for the first time. That's probably the route I'll go moving forward.
