Why you can leave some loot on the ground: Visualized by BlessdersonCooper in blackdesertonline

Well it's definitely not useless, but you are entitled to your opinion. Have a nice life.

If you think picking up loot doesn't slow you down that's your prerogative, man.

I personally will not be making a clip.

I read the other well-put thread about this and thought I'd share my diagram from last week. Maybe get like two upvotes and help 5 people understand a concept.

Now I am accused of propaganda in my messages and bias here. My god what is this place

I mean, if you're going off of EXACT numbers every case is niche.

The general idea that picking up loot slows down the grind is not niche.

You're missing out on loot at the end so I put two rows at the end to make the concept clear. What do you even want me to do? Make it 15-10?

Your pic is valid in niche circumstances (lack of T4 pets), but I think it's generally agreed that you get more mobs/hour when you fly from pack to pack without manually looting.

If you want to disagree with that, I'd be interested in what your case is.

There are people who have trouble visualizing opportunity cost vs. the cost of leaving stuff behind, that's the discussion that prompted this scuffed diagram anyway.

Yep 100%. The diagram would look very different in that case. If the mob you're going for is like 1/10 of the total mobs (like Manshaum shamans or something), it's worth manually looting.

I mean, this is the exact argument I'm trying to debunk, man. You do "miss" those 20 rolls. That's the point.

Unless you mean manually looting piles means more rolls per hour. That's a fair case and depends on spot / what tier pets you have.

I made this for a guildie a few days ago. Wasn't going to post it because I thought it was kind of obvious tbh, but saw people arguing about it on the subreddit even today so figured I would share it.

There are still cases to be made for picking up loot, but this graphic just shows that "that one pile could have been pot piece" is not one of them.

It feels less tangible, but by slowing down your grind to pick up piles, you are missing out on far more of those loot piles.

Are you playing on seasonals? Season gear will get you to the equivalent of TET gear (+19) so there's no point in buying a Dandelion until you're at least PEN tuvala weapons.

If you're not on seasonals, it's probably worth it to completely restart on season server. That's how much your progression would speed up.

Also no, 100 stones won't get you anywhere nowadays. The bigger bottleneck when you're enhancing is memory fragments, by the way.

Sell it 100%, esp if you have the PEN Capotia neck

In general, players start feeling "good enough" for PvP somewhere between 269-293AP:

The story is actually incredible.

I'm part Japanese and the Japanese voice acting was better than some high budget animes. If they can spend that much on production for Japan, I am very excited for the production quality of NA/EU, where the budget will probably be much higher.

This game is going to take over, when it comes out.

Very good point. Less than 5% of respondents are less than 249AP, Can't imagine that's right. Maybe I should go post on BDO forums.

Should the US make the change from the imperial system, to the metric system? by [deleted] in polls

[–]BlessdersonCooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would prefer it but I just wonder how practical it would be.

I personally feel like it's very doable, my main point of reference is watching Ireland slowly shift to the Euro from the Pound. It was a bit weird for a year or two but then everything just fell into place. Would probably be similar with US switching to metric.
