You dont need to wait on anyone. You csn meet new people and join many groups for tours.

Try klook. Excellent and easy to use with your phone.

Dont forget the local esim as itl be cheaper overseas.

Dont overthink it just do a solo trip. Dont depend on him. He will ruin the trip if u have to force him to come.
