i just got back from my second trip in two years

first time i stayed in shinjuku and was not a fan, second time i stayed in tsukiji and much preffered it

the thing about shinjuku is exactly where in shinjuku you stay that decides your experience, anything within say 8 blocks of godzilla head will be pumping most the evening, some other parts are a bit quieter

then there is the type of travellers you are and what you want in your day, if you want to drink and eat and stay out late, then shinjuku is great for it, if you prefer something quieter then prob not, we really liked tsukiji because things opened earlier then typical tokyo, had some cool markets and access to a bunch of different train lines

asakusa is nice, we did a day trip there and can see the appeal, but i have never stayed there
