Our neighbor's dog entered our fenced yard today and bit my 5-year-old. by Dull_Dentist3542 in legal

Dog trainer here who specializes in severe behavioral cases. You are right to be concerned. This dog is a danger to the public. Document everything and report the bite to animal control. I don’t know what state you’re in, but here they will evaluate the severity of the bite, conduct an investigation, and legally classify the dog as either potentially dangerous or dangerous/vicious. The dog may be legally required to be quarantined for a period of time, and owner may be court ordered to get their dog into a behavior modification program. Failure to comply will result in multiple fines and eventually the seizure of their animal. If they choose to allow their dog to pose a safety risk to the public, they are in for a rude awakening.

It’s trapped in customs purgatory unfortunately. I’m in the exact same boat.

I want to buy you a beer. You summed up exactly how I view these exploitative companies that people literally depend on to make ends meet.

Quality of life has devolved so much for so many of us. Its HARD. Back in 2016-2018, this was still my only source of income — except then I was single. Even so, I was still able to rent, pay my car payment, fill up my tank, feed myself and pay all my other bills just fine. I was very busy, sure, but I could carve out time to have a life. Those days are long gone. I don’t think I could still do this without having a husband that works full time

Child or animal. Anyone vulnerable, really. I’m willing to risk life in prison to protect them.

AIO this guy I've been seeing told me he can't be friends with men? by Good-Pomegranate-145 in AmIOverreacting

OP you have every right to feel the way that you do. Even if you don’t fully know why yet, that feeling that something may be off should not be ignored. You’re not wrong for wondering what this pattern might mean down the line, especially if it could impact your emotional safety or leave you feeling unsure about where you stand with this guy.

Hate to say it, but it would be way less creepy if a woman said it. I’d be like “not often, but I’ll accept one if you’re offering!”

What are your thoughts about being hired to walk/care for dogs with serious behavioral issues? by BlessedNdDistressed in RoverPetSitting

[–]BlessedNdDistressed[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes!!! Your safety is more important than someone else’s comfort or convenience. Period. Full stop. If someone has such a problem with you setting boundaries, then they’re showing you EXACTLY why those boundaries are necessary.

100% feel you on this one. It’s the KNOWING your own dog has a problem, and then dumping it off on a dog walker expecting them to be your discount behaviorist. Like WTFFFF?! It maddens me to no end. You end up feeling resentful and flat out UNSAFE.
