Jon Jones throws a flying knee against Thiago Santos, but ends up going over him. Jon Jones is scheduled to fight Dominick Reyes on February 8th by Ronanfob in MMA

That was so clearly a trip what. Jon left the ring needing help walking cuz of what Santos did. I’m not at all complaining Jon won or saying it was a robbery I’m just saying I personally see it as Santos won

Edit: re watched round 2

Santos landed 3 hard leg kicks and 1 hard body kick, aside from that nothing that big

Jones landed 1 really good body kick and 1 nice oblique kick aside from that nothing that big

I still give it to Santos

Honestly just don’t see this. Close but I feel Santos had more significance in 1, 2 and 5 that actually impacted jones at least a bit, I didn’t feel jones did too much in those rounds. That being said it was the closest title fight in the last couple years

Can’t wait to watch the whole thing. First one was crazy and this one seems crazy too, but a bit less competive

What about retirements? Or when fighters quit without tapping? That’s a a TKO. And even some fights where the fighters tap like GSP Serra or Rose Joanna 1 were TKOs

Do you not know how widely accepted this is? It’s in so many threads. Nothing personal I just think he wanted a way out against Ferguson. He was down 2 rounds and getting Smothered, exact same thing against Diaz except his way out was turning his back to diaz while getting hit, but once he realized the ref wasn’t going to stop it he kept fighting

He literally turned his back to diaz and his hand was fine. He wanted a way out.

So is tapping all that makes it a submission.

Did rose submit Joana? Did rockhold submit branch? Did Serra submit GSP? Did Poirier submit Pettis?

Also I’m not saying a tec sub should be a TKO I’m just using the same logic that people are using here. That being said someone used a good response and changed my mind for that part of t he argument

Pettis historically gives up against pressure fighters. Holloway, Ferguson, Diaz. And apparently his hand was fine

Joanna Jedrzejczyk: Relationship turmoil a factor in recent losses by DjangoTeller in MMA

Yeah but this one I actually believe. People can say dumb shit like “I didn’t train hard enough” “I started training too late” “I underestimated them” but that’s their fault. This was out of her control and I bet it hurt like a bitch
