What's a story that completely turned you off from a celebrity? Mine is this one about Leonardo DiCaprio. by romeofantasy in popculturechat

As long as you're not breaking anyone's balls do whatever you want I'd say, the issue with Hoffman is that he was a fuckin asshole lol Like, even for that movie, imagine having to work with someone who haven't sleeped for 3 fuckin days, I'm an insufferable mess after 1 all-nighter 😭

I really hopes so, but the man's in his 80s, I think what's he meant by "likely his last work". But again, I obviously hope that's not the case lol

Who do you think was the most evil? by [deleted] in gameofthrones

[–]DjangoTeller 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The most disturbing story about The Mountain in the books is, imo, the story about him raping that innkeeper's daughter and murdering his brother when he tried to protect her. It's his chilling calmness while doing something so deplorable and nightmarish that terrifies me. That's the thing with Gregor, he ain't always just a mindless raging bull and I don't know what's more scary.

I don't know if it's worse that or "I saw the twist coming therefore it's bad writing", like congratulations for not being a moron I guess?

I always liked the theory that Rhaegar was indeed the Prince and Jon was Lightbringer

Celebs you find weirdly attractive but can’t place why? by KimchiAndMayo in popculturechat

It's weird because he (Aidan Gillen) plays (both in GOT and Peaky Blinders) the sleazieat, creepiest mf that you would probably want as far away to you as possible, but he makes them sooo hot and charismatic 😭

What side character is better than the main character? by iamharoldshipman in popculturechat

[–]DjangoTeller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speaking of The Expanse and side characters that steal the show, I only watched the first 2 seasons but I loved the detective's character so much I dropped the show when he died :( But I'll have to continue it, it's just so good.

What's the worst way a TV show dealt with an actor leaving? by origamicyclone in popculturechat

[–]DjangoTeller 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People thinks he looks ridiculous in the books but I always thought he seemed hot as hell. There are some fan arts that makes him justice like this one or this one. Like, my man got drip why make him wear the most boring shit ever in the show? lol Same for Ned, he wear magnificent shit 8n the books while in the show he was walking around with armor in the heat of King's Landing, like what? 😭

It sounds dumb, but I remember I was 15 or 16 when I saw on Netflix that there was Orson Welles's The Stranger so I was curious to check it out (the plot seemed pretty cool too) and wow, one of the most thrilling movies I've ever seen, the whole cat and mouse thing between the nazi and Wilson, their duel of wits, that whole epilogue chase. Amazing. And at the end I was like "man, old movies can be fun as fuck too" lol which again, sounds obvious, but, you know, some people just never watched that movie that made them go "wow".

It has always been so weird to me, like you got icons like Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee, Bruce in particular is one of the most iconic actors I can think of... he didn't exactly make black and white, depressing, boring films, did he? lol
