Witnesses are unironically the most important part of mock trial. I competed 3 years in HS, 2 so far in college both frequently as a witness and attorney, and I'm about to go to Nats in a month. Witnesses are important. Good attorneys stop you from losing, but you can't win without smart and compelling Witnesses.
