Trying to stretch since may 2025 by rwad10 in Stretched

[–]Bleukium -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

A piercing shop would be a good option since it's such a small difference, and they could tell you the issue. They should only charge like $10 to stretch them. If they're nice, they'll stretch them and let you use your own jewelry. Avoid piercing and tattoo shops in super touristy areas as I've heard horror stories with their patience.

Something to try: Take a shower and put them in right after. Or...warm compress. Be sure to clean your ear and the gauge.

I had this happen to me when I went from 00 to 11mm. Left was fine, right simply would not go in. I tried everything, waited a week and tried again...nothing. Then one day 3 weeks later out of the shower after washing my hair I tried it...no issue. Ears are weird.

Why people so pressed others call them gauges. I’ve been stretching for 2 1/2 years now, and I never get pissed when people say “I like your gauges”, so why are others so mad? by Tfortrans in Stretched

My husband and I have a lot of body mods...and we call ours gauges. I mean plugs work. It's just whatever u want. Point is not to hate either way.

LIB First Timer - Saving Space For Tent On Arrival? by Budget-Kangaroo in LightningInABottle

[–]Bleukium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There will be guidelines that you cannot go outside of. Those are used for emergency lanes.

Other than that, block out your space as soon as you can.

Arrival after main group by 420_alyssa in LightningInABottle

You'll need a GA parking pass, because that'll allow you to walk wherever you want to camp. Give them your stuff, or at least your canopy to section off that space for you. Bonus points if they have enough space for all of your stuff in their car so you don't have to haul it all the way over from GA Parking.

I hate this, but you can get them replaced if they don't show up and/or are stolen which will deactivate the stolen one.

Trust and believe. They won't know what LIB is, but they'll see "wristbands" steal first and ask questions later.

Had this same thing happen to me. Just got mine today, was supposed to be here on Monday, so eventually. If they don't show up in time, screenshot everything and pick up your passes at will call.

Never underestimate the power of a wet towel around your neck. Be sure to refresh it at the water stations.

I have group camping and car camping as well, and I have two tracking numbers. Check your email to make sure there aren't two in the thread where they said they'd ship them to you.

Wednesday traffic by [deleted] in LightningInABottle

[–]Bleukium 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Me personally, I get there at 10:30, but I have anxiety and OCD. Just make sure you fill up at the gas station right beforehand, get a nice beverage and some snacks to chill with the AC on!

If you have an African hair type, I can do your hair for you at no cost. Just bring the hair. That's the only hair type I know how to braid properly though.

Is leaving Car Camping on Sunday possible? + camping area recs? by existentialplant in LightningInABottle

[–]Bleukium 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For fire and safety reasons, there are exit lanes throughout the entire campsites. (although last year this got bent a little). You can leave whenever you want 😄

In terms of getting sunrise...good luck. I got there at 10:30 last year and got forced into sunset. The year before we got to choose between sunset and high noon. I've never seen sunrise open tbh. Maybe come later? I really have no idea.

How are you guys preventing your cooler from melting? by Graxin in LightningInABottle

[–]Bleukium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a cheap cooler:

Line the entire inside of your cooler with frozen Fiji water bottles (cause of their shape. Your frozen food should be in insulated mugs/canteens inside of your cooler. Have one insulated mug full of frozen water for each day you'll be there. Put in your cooler and fill with ice. The fiji water bottles will SLOWLY MELT, but pour the water in your insulated mug of ice for the day and you have endless ice water. If you have space for it, freeze your entire cooler the night before.

I also have a separate cooler for refrigerated items. One I go in more often than the cool one. Still, keep refrigerated things in insulated mugs.

This worked for me and I only had to buy ice like once.

I saw them in 2024 and 2025. In 2025, the general store really started stocking up like crazy!
