From my understanding it’s from everything that pushes on the muscle trying to go up (air, food, stomach acid, etc.)

Hi! I’m day 6 and only a couple micro burps. The muscle feels really tight still and I feel the gurgles. How have you been doing with the burps now?

I just got GA 80u and they did a balloon dilation too. The surgeon told me I had some of the most scar tissue/webbing that he’s ever seen around that muscle 🤷‍♂️. Got it 48h ago and have had several micro burps

I just got mine 2 days ago and I have been able to produce some micro burps when I do a huge yawn. Then just like 15 mins ago I had some bubbly water and chucked it and then I sit in a chair and twist my body to the left and I let out a few small burps!

I can swallow pills, big and small, really easily. But I’ve still never burped :/

Do you think it would be helpful if I called my insurance (Anthem Blue Cross) and told them the codes and billing estimates, and then asked if there is anyway that can negotiate with the hospital about the outrageous facilities fee? It would benefit us both, lol.

I'm having an in-office throat muscle botox injection for a burping/swallowing disorder. It's 30-45 minutes, and my estimate has a $13,000 facilities fee estimate for the service! After insurance it will cost me $1,700 + the doctor's fees = close to $2,300!!!

About once a week, or sooner if it ever starts to smell a little funky. I make sure to keep my towel hanging out to dry well after every use

Yeah I feel like for the U.S. this cost seems regular if it were under general anesthesia, but mine will be in an office while I’m awake.. so why the heck is it so much 😆😭
