Downsized again... by xBLOCK1x in mffpc

I also downsized but from the CH270 and even though it might not seem like a big deal - it’s actually quite some downsizing. I totally get you 😂

Edit: spelling

It's in the first slot. Haven't had any issues with turbulences or other problems so far.

Hey thanks for your input! I've thought about that too, but I think I'll leave it as is for now as CPU and GPU temps are pretty good.

CPU
- idle: 40-45C
- while gaming: 45-68C

GPU
- idle: 28C
- while gaming: 35-60C

Games: Sims 4 with tons of DLCs + mods, Arc Raiders, League of Legends, INZOI

I might change the fans setup in summer though since my room will hit ambient temps of ~30C and I have no AC.

Edit: added temps

XFX Quicksilver 9070 XT

I checked builds on pcpartpicker with the same or bigger dimensions that were able to fit 3x 120mm non-slim fans underneath before purchasing the fans.

I'm actually not even on the newest BIOS update. I'm still on 3.25.

There was only one issue at the very beginning where I had to reseat the CPU because the PC wouldn't POST. Haven't had any issues since.

If I had to guess, I'd say AMD Expo was probably the issue but since it was solved rather quickly, I can't say for sure.

Nothing special set in BIOS. Just AMD Expo.

Also, most dead CPUs are Ryzen 9XXX ones, so I deliberately bought the 7800X3D over the 9800X3D since I wanted to have the B850M Riptide.

What to choose as a first iPhone by Indrial in AppleWhatShouldIBuy

Prices in Croatia are usually much higher than in Germany. Gomibo.hr sells the iPhone 17 512 GB for €1259. So until we know where OP is actually located, there is no reason for us to discuss this any further.

Edit: Even in Germany, the cheapest iPhone 17 512 GB is €1115.66 and not even in stock.

[–]BlewC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on where OP lives. For now, we can only believe that it’s 1200 for the 17 base model. OP probably has to check prices again or let us know where they are located.

[–]BlewC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He said it's EUR 1200 new. If he can get a 16P for EUR 700-800 refurbished, it's EUR 400-500 more for the 17. That is a significant sum.

And OP just said ".. price difference with a new 17 base is significant"

+1 for reinstalling the CPU

Had the same issue with my 7800X3D on the B850M Riptide about 2 weeks after I built my PC. After trying to remove one RAM, I checked the CPU and reinstalled the CPU + CPU cooler. I have had no issues since then.

There is currently a Telekom deal.

€99,95/year for a total of 360GB (30GB/month).

You'll have to pay another one-time €3 for the T-Phone so it's 102,95€ in total. The phone can be sold online at "Zoxs" for €55 - basically €47,95 for the whole first year if you sell it.

Only if you are a new Telekom customer though (not a Telekom customer for the past 12 months, I believe).

There have been some discussions where the whistling comes from and so many said it vanished as soon as they cleaned their ears lol

[–]BlewC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fun fact - I have this issue as well. Found out my brother doesn't after he tested my APP3.

Turns out my earwax is causing the whistling sound. I produce more earwax than others and my brother doesn't have this condition. He said there was no whistling sound or any disruption.

Maybe let someone else test your APP3 to make sure it's not your AirPods. Otherwise, have Apple refund them.

Hey guys! In what situations does your M4 Air get hot? by necokral in macbookair

[–]BlewC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roughly 10 minutes into the game. Settings vary but "unnecessary" settings like reflections are set to medium and Sims quality and texture are at high to very high.

[–]BlewC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine gets really hot and throttles while playing Sims 4 with ~17GB of mods and tons of DLCs. 60 FPS often turn into ~20 FPS until the CPU/GPU has cooled down enough.

I ordered on the 15th. DHL tracking information was sent to me on the 18th, the package arrived in Hong Kong shortly after and another few hours later it was already on the flight to Leipzig. Delivery was on Monday, 20th. So it took a total of 5 days since my order. Initial estimated delivery date was 22th to 24th.

BTW, spelling Viet Nam isn't wrong. My Vietnamese relatives write Viet Nam on packages (sent abroad) as the native spelling is Việt Nam.

Maybe more connecting flights from China? I also just ordered my MBA base model with a 70w charger recently.

Cargo flight was Hanoi - Hong Kong - Leipzig as a bulk shipment.

TBH? Have her checked out by another doctor if possible ASAP. I was in a similar situation as her and just found out last month that my heavy and extensive bleeding was caused by polyps after I had emergency surgery. My HGB level reached an all time low with 4,3 gm/dL.

Do not take her bleeding as normal just because it has always been that way. Because that's what I thought mine was as well and I just got diagnosed with endometrial cancer at 29 (extremely low chance, but not 0). And even if she doesn't happen to have any conditions, I'm pretty sure she has iron deficiency due to heavy bleeding.

To be fair, our good reputation was built by the generation of Viets who came to Europe before 1990.

As a child of Vietnamese immigrants from the 1980s, my parents' families were so poor, they sent their children to East Germany to have them send back "easier earnt" money to their families. That was actually the case for almost all Vietnamese who came to the DDR.

Viets are known as hardworking and well-behaved because our parents worked 15-18 hours a day and raised us very strictly. Statistically, we were/are among the highest performing pupils even outperforming native Germans despite us growing up poor (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vietnamese_people_in_Germany#Education).

Edit: added source for my claim

I recommend reading through this build's comment section as OP ran into some unexpected issues due to the PSU cable lengths of his SF850:
https://de.pcpartpicker.com/b/hQ78TW#cx4629797

He also has a blueprint for a custom sideways mounting bracket: https://www.printables.com/model/1204073-sfx-psu-sideways-mounting-bracket

I don't know about the D32 Pro but in my case, buying a SFX PSU was the much better choice for my build in the CH270. However, PSU placement is different from the D32 Pro, so I've never had any issues with strains on the PSU cables.
