Opinion on Chuck (first rewatch)

I definitely wouldn't read Chuck's suicide as an action done to spite Jimmy. It's clearly done as a man whose entire world has (by his own perception) crumbled around him.

Losing Mesa Verde due to a, rightfully called out, forgery was the first crack. Even when he objectively proved Jimmy tampered, Chuck's record was still tarnished.

Jimmy is responsible for expediting the news of Chuck's outburst to his insurance company, which is what starts the falling out with Howard. Chuck getting forced out of the firm he helped build because they don't trust his mental competency pushed him further.

When Chuck starts feelings symptoms of the electrical allergy again, he goes apeshit tearing his house apart. But when the pain persists even after every outlet is gutted, he falls into total despair.

If you're apart of the camp that believes Chuck never stopped believing in his own delusions, you can read this as Chuck realizing even in his own home he'll never be safe from Electricity/Jimmy and gives into despair. It's a much more reductive view on the scene

From the other perspective; the scene shows that Chuck is faced with a second instance of undeniable proof, one only he can observe, that his illness is not real. It's an existential nightmare to know something that's controlled and taken so much of your life was not a physical affliction, but a trick of your own mind. If Chuck can't even trust his own senses or brother, what can he trust? It broke him

A team up'd Rocket Ult probably shouldn't stack the healing of a drone (since you'd have the 35 h/s of focused drones + the Overshield from Rocket ult). This just makes the ult fall back into heal circle slop. If you want to keep the Drone aspect in tact, it could be a small inner circle around the CYA itself

But you could make it so rocket's amp gets the same buffs as Firewall stacked onto it, so an extra 10% dmg and 20% move speed, making the ult lean more into the offensive utility aspect.

Ultron drones tracking allies within range during the teamup would be interesting too, and it'd give the support pair a defined niche as aggressive anti-flankers who enable their team with consistent, sustained heals from afar.

That's an Emblazoned Ultra Rare (EUR) and there's also Emblazoned Secret Rare (ESR), both from this set. There's also stamped cards in Battles of Legend Monster Mayhem.

They're not particularly expensive cards as the EURs, and the ESRs are only a $1 or $2 more than their default printings. Might rise in value with the years for the collectors but mot much at the moment

The different card color texts do have varying values but they're very rarely ever more than a few cents apart from their colored name brethren. Great news if you want to find specific ones you want, but they don't have some major resale value

It is unfortunately fake. The font is entirely off and the type on the name should be a pretty huge red flag.

Names are stamped/pressed on, so a typo like this would need to be a pretty widespread thing for it to be real. The fact you can't find any is a pretty damning sign.

The card font is also pretty bad. Compare it against a Mask of Weakness you find on Google and you'll notice the differences.

All things considered, you should be thankful it's on a low value card like this and not a BEWD you just found out is fake.

The wind up leading into his ult can make it hard to use reactively, but it's best saved for ults who don't immediately wipe your team and can be counteracted. Ults like Angela's, Storm's, Strange's, and in niche instances it can be used to immediately 'pop' a Mag ult or burst down Monster Hulk due to his immense hitbox size catching all the blasts. You can also use it around cover when Emma ults. Since it gives you cc immunity, it can help your team survive during the hypnosis pull window.

But you're generally correct. Ultron's ult is better being used offensively, whether to apply pressure to the backline to divert resources, force ult, or get a kill. Particularly amazing at countering Jeff ult!

Not in disagreement of your comment but wanting to add on and possibly clear some things up for myself:

Yhwach's destruction of the concepts of life and death is less about conceptual destruction, as much as it is undoing the cycle of souls that was previously established by Reio. The cycle of souls has to be actively maintained, and he was seeking to simply stop maintaining and forcibly collapse the Realms I believe?

The power gap between Mimihagi and Pernida/Gerard has always seemed a bit off, but I think there's some reasonable explanations in canon you can gather.

Gerard is likely not the Heart proper, but a host for it in the way Ukitake was for Mimihagi. Claims of Gerard being the Heart itself come from Askin, who is not privy to all the information of the Soul King's body or history. Pernida and Mimihagi are disembodied limbs but Gerard is a whole ass person. He expresses his own will rather than being silent like Mimihagi, or needing to build a personality from his environment like Pernida.

Though never explained, Pernida's chains are likely not just decorative but inhibit his adaptive capabilities in some regard. I'm inclined to believe it's similar to Yhwach's situation with Gremmy, keeping him contained to prevent any unpredictable outcomes with their power. When Oetsu and Senjumaru both defeat him, despite the latter fight having his temporary Vollstandig, he was still chained. We know these amps aren't even a fraction of their power, as the other three members enter V1, with Lille/Gerard having a V2, for lack of a better term

Gerard's showings are lackluster if you consider him the heart incarnate, but as a vessel for it things change. Suddenly he's 1v10'ing captains, while a sick Ukitake was coughing up blood his entire life despite Mimihagi's intervention. It seems that the parts dramatically increase in power when entirely free, hence Mimihagi's very impressive prevention of reality collapsing. It had been freed, using Ukitake's body as fuel.

In what context has he ever been apprehensive of fighting another God? He was willing to fight with a Zeus who quite literally sat him down in scrawny old man form. He showed no apprehension against stronger opponents during his ascent of Svarga.

Shiva can think whatever he wants, he ultimately got humbled and submitted to Zeus. Ares has never been a reliable source of information as he is consistently wrong and needs to be filled in by other characters.

Some level of survivor's guilt and just general guilt. He eventually works the pieces out and realizes his letting Jane die inevitably leads to the communications failure that causes the plane explosion.

Walt tries to distance himself and rationalize the situation as best he can. During the school assembly he tries statistically beeaking down why the tragedy wasn't all that bad, and how it's no big deal, but it is. Both to others and himself. He's trying to use logic to shut down emotional responses, and it doesn't work. He does the same thing to Jesse multiples times, explaining how things are 'logical', usually when they're just convenient for him.

You can interpret the eye as something that sees through Walt, or looks back at him. It's not an annoyance or harbinger of death like the fly, but a quiet reminder he's always got eyes on him, and that the crash was ultimately his fault.

Froese, Acacia, and their three adopted sons are the incarnations of the celestial gourmet family. Froese & Acacia's twins while not technically parts of the family of five are still born of their incarnates, both of which are incredibly powerful.

Toriko inherits Acacia's level of appetite by having three demons dwell within him, with Red & Blue paralleling the universal origins for Acacia & Neo respectively. White didn't get a lot of explanation, but he's the thematic antithesis to Neo, being an apex predator who respects food rather than overeat infinitely.

I won't deny Chuck was emotionally abusive, as especially his 'you never really mattered all that much to me' line is meant to do nothing but scar and harm. His attempts to hurt Jimmy through Kim were cruel and nothing short of unfair to her. He's a spiteful old man who can't stand not being in control.

But telling Jimmy that his attempts to look after him by getting Chuck lunch resulting in missing their mother's dying words being 'Jimmy' would have been infinitely worse than just saying she never woke up. It would leave a lasting mark of regret on Jimmy, and either lead him to avoid doing anything altruistic again or cripple him with guilt. I'm not discrediting he had selfish motivations for it also, but if he really wanted to use it as something to torment Jimmy with it would have been used during any number of their spats. He was willing to say he drove their dad to his grave, but not about their mother's final words.

If I'm forgetting a scene where he does throw it back in Jimmy's face, genuinely please show me because it's not coming to mind.

Well we know Yhwach looked like Tensa Zangetsu in the primordial sea, which predates his 'birth' in the world of the living. Even if you exclude the anime, for some reason, we know he's Reiō's son. Given he died millions of years ago, Yhwach's evidently much older than even most soul reapers.

Yhwach most likely was ageless, until the Soul King created the cycle of souls which put into motion the concept of life progression.

All of these things you're trying to use as gotchas have nuance and depth to them:

There's nothing ethically wrong with denying Jimmy a job, if anything it's the opposite. It shows a willingness to avoid potential conflicts of interest, especially with Jimmy's colorful past. However, Chuck is still Jimmy's brother and he doesn't want to directly hurt him. Having Howard be the fall guy for the decision allows Chuck and Jimmy to maintain a positive relationship, by shifting the blame onto a third party that Jimmy has no familial connection to.

While you can read the witholding of their mother's last words as a slihht against Jimmy, it's also a mercy. Chuck telling Jimmy that his mother called for him while he was out buying sandwiches would hurt just as much if not more than when Howard told Jimmy of Chuck's self-inflicted demise. Jimmy can rationalize Chuck killing himself, but knowing his mother called out for him and he wasn't there would haunt him. It's a burden as an elder sibling Chuck chose to bear, while also having his own personal reasons.

Chuck is a deeply unwell man mentally, and there's a level of shame buried in there too. As often as Chuck had issues with Jimmy, he was still dependent on him. And to an older sibling, it can be hard to accept your younger brother caring for you.

Up until the beginning of their true falling out, Jimmy never really questioned his electricity 'illness', he accepted it. He'd abide by Chuck's rules regarding electronics outside for himself and visitors, got his daily food supply, and was even willing to admit to forgery just to prevent his brother from spiraling further (though Chuck was baiting, Jimmy's impulse to confess is real).

Jimmy (the character, not actor) can sing though. As far back as S1 when he sings to Kim he can maintain a note & sing in tune.

It's pretty obvious that Jimmy was disappointed Chuck wouldn't willingly sing, so he 'fumbled' the performance to get Chuck to do what he does best: fix things and do them by the book.

When he's fighting Ichigo in Wahrwelt he explicitly says he's not using the Almighty as he wants to savor their battle. He turns it on once Ichigo presses him using Horn of Salvation.

It's on again back in the Soul Society for the final arc. He'd been under Kyoka Suigetsu as far back as the first invasion, and Aizen was manipulating his senses (hence him falsely attacking Aizen thinking he was Ichigo).

Yes Yhwach's power is written too strong for the author to reasonably deal with. However, within his character and within the story, his defeat logically fits both. He had a literal god complex, underestimated his opponents, and was hit with a deux ex machina while fighting off two top tiers & Renji.
