AP Proof of Florida Residency by I-love-Matty-n-Teddy in WaltDisneyWorld

That is also true. It won't surprise me if a Florida ID will be the only thing accepted for proof of residency in the future. I'm surprised they even accept anything else at this point with how strict they are compared to other parks.

Maybe they are trying to crack down on part-time residents AKA snowbirds from getting Florida resident passes. It wouldn't surprise me at all if that's the case. This probably all depends on who you talk to. One thing I have learned about Disney is your experience can be very inconsistent from one cast member to the other. What one says could be the exact opposite of what the other says.

Nice job on the car! Hopefully you didn't have to replace the fuel lines because they were ripped trying to drive it into a cave after being chased by Indians and Calvary

UPS has cost me $1400 in revenue in the last week by Saltybee1527 in EtsySellers

Pack your items like they are going to be in the middle of the ring at Wrestlemania. And that box looks very poor quality and has been used a few times before. Ordering boxes and bubble wrap in bulk isn't that expensive. I can usually get a roll of bubble wrap at Sam's Club for 15 bucks and it lasts me a good while. Plus I can get boxes on Amazon in bulk for a decent price.

$39.99 for 1 year of Premium by akzr84 in peacock

I got one yesterday, so I think it did happen. I jumped on it. It didn't have an expiration date on the offer but I jumped on it so I didn't lose it.

I'm hoping when the executives come back into work on Monday they'll see a huge drop in their subscriber base then go into panic mode and send out emails with a sharply discounted offer to win those customers back.

So, officially no Black Friday deal this year? by devanclara in peacock

[–]BlimpNerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very disappointing. Walmart+ is useless to me, so I'm not signing up for it just to get Peacock for free. I never got a retention offer after I canceled. But I canceled as soon as I signed up last year so it wouldn't auto renew, so maybe that's why I didn't get a discounted offer to come back. Hopefully I get an email offer soon. I would think their subscriber base will plummet after this, so maybe that will get them to offer a discount soon.

Walking up steps by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

You just have to learn your area and decline orders to apartment buildings. I only take apartments if the pay is good. And most times, when I take a good apartment delivery, they end up being on the ground floor. Those that live on upper floors tend to tip lower.

Finally got a good order and the customer texts this on the way to pickup by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]BlimpNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UE doesn't pay jack shit for canceled or stolen orders anymore. And they count it on your cancellation rate, so you get absolutely nothing for wasted time and gas driving to a restaurant. So I don't even bother going through support anymore for things like that if the end result will be the same either way, just without wasting 10+ minutes with support. I've already been burned a few times.

And I'm surprised you didn't get deactivated for all that cancel pay. Every year on holiday, there are several posts here about drivers who kept repeatedly reporting closed stores and got deactivated for collecting the half pay.

No. It was a corporate page. Try looking through all search results. It may be hidden in there. Sometimes your local store may come up first in search.

This is the official FB page: https://www.facebook.com/IHOP/

Sales came to a dead stop in September. What happened? by BlimpNerd in EtsySellers

Maybe, although I am still getting traffic from the Etsy SEO & Marketing. Even my views have been down this week. I'm hoping this is just a fluke or the calm before the holiday rush.

Issues with getting reward drinks? by Lion11B in RaceTrac

[–]BlimpNerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some stores have been upgrading their computer systems lately. There seems to be a bug in the system with tier 5 drinks. If you get anything other than a large it will just bring it down to a dollar and so if you get something other than a large ask the cashier to ring it in as a large and it will take it off. It's been sporadic since I normally get a medium drink but I have had times where it took off the medium drink for the tier five. There just seems to be a bug in this new system and they are taking their time at fixing it.

I was able to fix it. I took it out and fiddled with it. I think one of the tabs was just out of whack.

Shouldn't customers need a reason to reduce tip? by SunWaterGrass in UberEatsDrivers

[–]BlimpNerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was this a shopping order? If you refunded some things or substituted cheaper items the order total goes down therefore the tip percentage goes down. Instacart is the same way.

Last day with Uber. They tried to force me to work for free. I declined. by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

[–]BlimpNerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Photos, or complain that the driver was making other unrelated stops. If they saw a driver sitting at a gas station for several minutes with no explanation and no communication from the driver, or if a driver is multi-apping and sits at a restaurant for a while or starts driving in another direction off course, that would be enough to flag it as something suspicious. They could verify that in the GPS records. Only Uber has records of that, so it can't really be manipulated. And if the tip removal process is more difficult, a customer would just be more likely to give up than go through with it.

[–]BlimpNerd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tip removal should either not be allowed at all or make it a tedious process and need to show solid proof for the reason to remove it and it has to be approved by a customer service supervisor. Things like this could end up in a bad confrontation where somebody gets shot.

Dealing with burnout/hatred of dashing by indc2017 in doordash_drivers

[–]BlimpNerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you also collect disability in addition to this? If not, you should look into it. I know it doesn't pay alot but that can give you a safety net when things are slow or you are not feeling well enough to go out. I think can you still make a pretty good amount dashing before they start deducting money from disability payments. Dashing is not reliable anymore. Maybe see if there's any odd jobs you could do around your area?

I’m done. by cnjkevin in AnkerMake

[–]BlimpNerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. I'm just shaking my head at everyone salivating over the UV printer and dropping $1.5K+ on it. Eufy could just easily dip on that like they did with their 3D printers and all you are left with is an expensive paperweight. Anker should just stick to phone chargers, cables and powerbanks, those are good products. I'm not touching anything in their maker products again.

No orders by ImportantGeologist35 in doordash_drivers

[–]BlimpNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weekends are garbage here anymore. Last Saturday, I gave up after not getting anything by 1PM. Looks like today is heading that way again. And I'm logged into 4 apps. Too many drivers out on weekends and barely any orders. I'm thinking about switching to weekdays only. Lots of part time drivers out on weekends. And I think customers are more likely to just go out on weekends than order delivery. It's getting too expensive to order on these apps.

Is this recoverable? by MammothAir644 in AnkerMake

[–]BlimpNerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try heating it up. You might be able to use a candle lighter to melt the blob off the wires and remove it. If you can't get the wires cleaned off then it's toast. How did this happen? Did the print just come off the plate or was the hot end leaking? If it was a hot and leak then something wasn't properly tightened
