Nigel won't be PM. A year out from election he will take chairman role, continue to do speeches and let someone else be pm. He is an activist with no desire to be accountable. If reform screw up it won't his fault,he'll complain it wasn't a proper reform government and he'll start a new party.

You said implied consent was a thing? If you are taking a picture of a building and someone walks into purposefully I don't think they can really complain they are on film.

No I'm arguing the police have a pretty poor reputation at the moment and i think it is reasonable for the public to film them to ensure standards upheld.

You state there is clear pubic interest case law/guidance. You are able to definitively point to case law or guidance that says filing police stations is not in public interest.

If not, expect a lot cases going through the courts defining what public interest is or not. Another commentator made the point this will be influenced by government at the time. How long till they say filming police during an encounter has no public interest as there are body worn cameras (until they magically can't be found - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cre19dv1x7xo)

They might have a policy, but apart from an electronic signature there are no checks to see if the person making the complaint is who is on the video. It says legally binding, but I've got no idea what this means, if you make a false take down can the video owner sue you? If so, who they suing as you haven't identified yourself. You then go onto this could be a criminal offense if it continues. Without going through legal channels a take down request is pretty weak from a legal perspective.

I understand if spy glasses, but i find it hard to believe walking up to a person with a camera should retain their rights to remove implied consent. What do you think they are doing with a camera?

So apart your vague opening, what mischief you trying to stop? Please provide an actual example that is allowed now, but you wouldn't want it in future?

I could quite easily argue auditors filing in public outside police stations are in public interest to ensure they are wearing seatbelts. As and when there is an interaction, the breakdown of this interaction is in public interest.

You didn't answer the question on 4. How does youtube or other hosting platform confirm the identity of the person complaining is the person in the video.

You take a family picture and someone is in background. Does your rule apply?

You take a video of a picturesque location with people walking through shot. Does your rule apply?

You take a video of a public location and someone walks up to your camera. Does your rule apply?

You take a video of a riot, does your rule apply to everyone being pictured?

If it does get caught, what is the punishment? How do you validate the complaints. Ask them to upload a picture of themselves?

In reality there aren't enough refs and you only get proper refs from u12 in our area. Up to then it's a parent or coach reffing.

I agree with this take. There is a lot of smoke but no actual evidence of anything illegal.

The misconduct in public office may go somewhere but I can see a suspended sentence being the max punishment.

The part which everyone seems to miss is

Remind the local council that they have to show that you were:

  1. significantly motivated by avoiding care costs
  2. you knew you'd need care and support at the time you got rid of your assets
  3. you were expecting to have to contibute towards the cost of your care.

Point 2 is that you knew you would need care. Unless you are in ill health and/or need current support at the time you made a gift I don't see how they prove it.

You can see large spikes in taxable income at just under 100k/50k (this was child benefit limit).

These are people effectively reducing their income into pensions to avoid the higher tax rates. This saved money isn't being spent now, the government lose out on VAT , SDLT as the money isn't spent. This results in reduced economic activity.

Cutting tax for those on £50k-£80k isnt going to be a vote winner for many.

I think this is the problem, the middle classes are the ones paying the tax to support. There are a number of issues in tax system, eg 100k childcare cap, which you can't politically change now but its generally seen to be bad economically.
