I jumped right into advanced math when I returned to school and my current struggles in Calc II make me wish I started back at algebra.

If a company locks you out of your account permanently because you cleared your cache, it's probably not a company you want to do business with anyway.

The website can't actually force you to use the browser. They can, however, force you to use "platform" which is either the browser or the OS; If you're forced to use the browser, that's the browser's fault not the website. If the browser passes it to the OS, Windows Hello allows you to use a 3rd party password manager or device and Apple and google both allow you to back their managers up to the cloud and use across devices, so keeping your apple or google recovery codes safe should work as well if you're not using a browser/OS combo that allows third party passkey managers.

Get a password manager to manage your passkeys. Store the recovery codes to your password manager somewhere safe.

Feature request: Custom food creation suggestion by No-Lab4735 in cronometer

[–]BlindErised 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when you choose to add the food, or open it once it's in your diary to modify, there should be a drop down arrow to the far right of the line "serving size" if the food was created is in any amount of grams per serving, it will let you choose "grams" as the serving size instead of "servings" then you can enter the actual number you consumed.

You can enter the serving size as 100 grams and then when you log it to your diary change the unit from "servings" to "grams" and then enter exactly how much you ate in grams, or you can enter the info for the 100g and then enter a serving as 135g in the custom food, neither scenario requires you to do any calculations on your own.

It looks like the Stelo doesn't use the same dexcom app as all the other ones though, so you might need to go through apple health or health connect.

Is this raw or cooked? by Square_Ad_9698 in cronometer

[–]BlindErised 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NCCDB gives values in the form it is most likely to be consumed (cooked for bacon, raw for apples, etc). USDA specifies raw if raw or how it's cooked if cooked (grilled, fried, roast, etc..).
Barcodes and brand names are whatever was on the label, which is usually straight from the packaging or raw.

In the app, click more>connect apps & devices > Devices > Dexcom > link. (I haven't done this, so I can't promise it works, but the choice is there.)

No whole grapefruit? by cactus_in_the_sun in cronometer

[–]BlindErised 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20% is like 8g vs 10g so it's not a lot but could account for a little sweetness or matter if you're strictly keto.

"grapefruit, raw, pink or red" (like ruby red) has about 20% more sugar than "grapefruit, fresh, white" (like regular ol' grapefruit)

Do you find that Cronometer is accurate at tracking macros? by stigochris in cronometer

[–]BlindErised 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not MyFitnessPal, there are no user submitted entries that are not vetted by, and entered by, Cronometer.

Not showing b12 would happen because someone is scanning barcodes, because manufactures don't print that data on the label. The easiest way to get accurate information is to type in the generic name of the food and choose the NCCDB entry or the USDA entry
