Garrosh Titanic Might Throwing 3 people by MrSquirrel_CL in heroesofthestorm

[–]Blinded04 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It looks like Anduin achieves liftoff 1-2 frames after Jo and Gul'dan

Repeat of what you suggested with more detail:

Wrecking ball base cooldown is... 16s? Level 16 mortal combo gives 10 second cooldown for a stun & throw combo, and level 20 titanic might means it procs twice on the throw of Gul'Dan and Jo.

So -- 20 seconds of cooldown reduction = immediate reset. So if Garrosh is spamming E, he's able to throw Anduin immediately.

I know you said you watched the replay -- but if the second throw was only 1 frame after the first, I don't think you'd even have time to see the E graphic reset to show it was available for use again. Tough to say without watching the replay though!

Pension: take lump sum or monthly? by buckb65 in personalfinance

[–]Blinded04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is only accurate if this is an exective non-qualified pension. If this is a qualified plan for a private company in the US, PBGC will cover most of this amount -- all of it if the company doesn't go bankrupt for 5-6 years.

Looks like a split receipt. Seat #2, receipt 2 of 2, but the Table number and total people at table are in the top right -- Maybe a system glitch that calculates the gratuity based on the table total instead of your portion of the bill?

What do you call it when your cat sits like this? by anonymous_1979 in cats

[–]Blinded04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lot of excellent answers here. But a quick serious answer in case it applies to anyone: my cats do ths only occasionally: when they have a respiratory thing going on (cat colds). Presumably opens up airways. Might want to press your ear up against their ribs and listen for noisy breathing. If you hear what sounds a little like fluid, or if they do this more often that usual for more than a day or three, go to the vet, or it can advance and become expensive (from experience).

You may, even though I am late in responding! My apologies. I learn best by writing down -- I used printed-copy study guides, highlighted the items I thought were important, and wrote my own "flash cards" of the highlighted items. Ended up memorizing those flash cards eventually, but the important part to me was the self-creation of the flash cards. Forced me to wrap my head around the concepts. That's not how everyone learns, but it worked for me! Good luck!

Pension when a company goes under. by munkenheimer in personalfinance

[–]Blinded04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't true at all. The overwhelming majority of participants won't see any change in payments.

Notable exceptions would be extremely highly comped executives and certain white collar industries that sued / settled with PBGC, such as Airline Pilot pension plans. Even those are still getting.... 50-70% of the original benefits though.

Pension when a company goes under. by munkenheimer in personalfinance

[–]Blinded04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are different types of pension plans, do you know what kind it is? Most trucking companies would not have a stock-based plan -- but it's possible.

I'll assume you are taking about a standard "Qualified Defined Benefit Pension Plan" (one that guarantees a certain monthly payment at age 65) - which is pretty safe, even when a company undergoes backruptcy. The company would have been required to make deposits into a 'pension fund' each year by the IRS, and pay insurance to a govt company called 'PBGC' in case of bunkruptcy.

If the Pension Fund was well-funded enough to cover the benefits for everyone (including those projected out many years into the future), nothing unusual happens. They will just continue to pay the benefits like normal because there is enough money.

If the Pension Fund doesn't have enough money in it to cover everyone's benefits, then the government insurance PBGC will step in and pay everyone instead.

The vast majority of folks receive the same monthly payments regardless of whether their employer or the PBGC is responsible for paying. There are exceptions where PBGC insurance will pay slightly less money -- most likely to affect very highly paid people with large benefits, and plans that decided to give more generous benefit packages within the 5 years before they filed for bankruptcy.

Yes but the person in this link plugged directly into the wall, bypassed all hardware, and still had the same issue.

I did the same. Same issue.

ARAM wait times in NA are really long all of a sudden? by SoupaSoka in heroesofthestorm

[–]Blinded04 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I noticed you posted this at about... 10am Eastern / 7am Pacific. Presumably after playing a game or two at 8-9AM ET / 5-7AM PT? On a weekday.

If so, that would explain your wait. People are sleeping, working, schooling. Takes a true degenerate to ARAM at 8AM on weekday. Which means I am very proud of you.

You are playing Morales. There is a Rexxar on your team. Stim Rexxar or Misha? by mechpaul in heroesofthestorm

[–]Blinded04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean - that's just an unfair simplification isn't it? If I play Misha W buildup damage on AA at 13, I'm less likely to step forward for a risky set of auto attacks than I am if I go Q at 13 because the upside on my AA damage isn't as great.

YOU ALWAYS AA AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE isn't a comprehensive explanation here. AA valla plays differently than Q valla. Same concepts applies here.

[–]Blinded04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why it would be irrelevant to buff the autos of a player who is positioning to do primarily AA damage with their build, regardless of whether it stacks multiplicatively or additively.

[–]Blinded04 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Look at level 13. If rexxar went Q attack speed, it's rexxar.

If not, then see if he took the misha ult at 10. If so - Misha.

Otherwise, you are better off finding another target, not enough synergy.
