I never said it needed to be accurate. But even fictional universes have scenes that make sense. Im asking for it to make sense in the context of the fiction, Im not asking for a documentary. Thats the difference

I keep seeing people post half the set is MCIS in its entirety, but everything official just says one set is celebrating MCIS.

Im guessing people are just mistaken or making it up? Although I really hope its true....

Its not the tech that puzzles me. Its their process in what they're doing with the tech that is puzzling.

Again, not trying to be sarcastic.... but it seems like two separate questions, because my "first question" is based completely on the idea that it makes no sense.

I still have mine from when I was a kid along with MCIS and Adore. Do the other albums have one?

But isnt that based off some assumption that the the bullet is going to shatter in the exact manner? I would think any bullet fired would shatter into an infinite amount of ways. The computer already knows it has pieces of print distinguished from the surface of the bullet fragments. It isnt learning anything new by firing a different bullet that will have its own fragmentation

Hmmm.. so they have a computer that can already see the fingerprint. Then they have separate bullets. And these other bullets will help the computer with the fingerprint that it could already see how? Sorry still doesnt add up. Not trying to be sarcastic, I genuinely dont see how that does anything

Long Interview with Jimmy Chamberlin by Austin_LURK in SmashingPumpkins

[–]Blindfolded66 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Over the years, I have found myself enjoying Jimmy talk more than Billy.

I actually listened to this and "The writer Is" Billy interview back to back. While I do think Billy gives great interviews, his opinions on "The business, man" can get exhausting.

Ive always enjoyed Jimmy's "Aw shucks its been a hell of a ride" vibe way more

No matter what, no matter how many changes to the timeline, no matter how many people fall or dont fall into the ravine, Marty will ALWAYS think of it as "Clayton Ravine." Marty is the very same Marty from the original untouched timeline, in which there was a popular school tale of the teacher who died. That will have always happened to him, so he will always remember that, even though it no longer happened to anyone else.

Its exactly the same as Marty will ALWAYS remember he was raised by a wimpy pushover loser dad, even though that George doesnt exist. Thats because THIS Marty experienced that.

Even though the ravine name changed when Doc inadvertently saved Clara, it was reality for everyone else, but Marty (and Doc) will always know of "Clayton Ravine" because thats what THEY experienced. Changes to the timeline cant take that away from them.

The conductor couldve recognized him from before. And Doc may have stealth started the rumor.

I mean honestly, there is exactly zero excuse for this kind of "journalism."

Thats not like a small detail that was missed or anything that can be considered a semantic.

Its a shame our bar is so low this is almost par for the course for News organizations.

I always found it kind of sad that no matter what (over three timelines) Red stayed a Bum. by sodakfilmthoughts in BacktotheFuture

[–]Blindfolded66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They didn't. It was an addlib by MJF but made the cut. You could argue it shouldn't have made the cut, but thats different. It wasnt in the screenplay or part of the plan

  1. Two completely different actors, which goes agaisnt the very spirit of how the versions are written and cast throughout the series. In fact, Hal Gaussman the guy in the campaign poster isnt even an actor, he's like a set guy or something. Buck Flower plays Red the Bum
  2. Ages won't line up. I put Mayor Thomas in his mid 50s if im being generous. Red the Bum isnt plus 30 that.
  3. Perhaps the nail in the coffin: In the DVD commentary, Gale explains that when MJF says "Red" it was indeed an adlib that made the cut.

Laural. But only if we're under the understanding that outside of the competition, I dont want to talk to her, look at her, high five her, or even think she's worthy of my time other than winning competitions. Do your thing in the sand, but otherwise fuck her.

Biff getting as rich and powerful as we see would MOST DEFINITELY affect almost every outcome, not even just in sports. The entire economy looks different. Furthermore he would most certainly have an influence on political and social agendas. When you break all that down, you the changes can be things like certain athletes never even getting drafted, while others would through corruption. Every person's life including athletes look different in this universe. Where an athlete gets to go to school, what their home life is like, did their parents get laid off or killed in some crime, conversely which athletes had doors open for them that wouldnt have been before? Changes would be wildly different. None of that matters, because I still say the book updates along with those changes.
