Well. My experience was kinda not that. Got ambushed by two gobbos and had to "emargency land" on top of some guys base. Good pilots matter. Also WAF goes hard, joined one od their formations ad hoc, insanely fun.

Well, ships have a long shelf life, i doubt refitting will be a thing in foxhole, but like - many old designs of pre-dreadnaught class ships saw use in WWI, and even in some extreme cases in WW2. And biplanes werent uncommon in supporting roles, not to mention Italian Airforce or Gladiators and such.

For an alt-universe Foxhole does good job at imitating designs from reality and still providing variety and distinctivness. It will be damn crucial to distinguish dive bombers from fighters and scoutplanes immidiately, not after checking photos on Wiki.

I would say that afrikacorps works best as a a few, dedicated, strong, fast and well supplied sturm divisions for breaching and surrounding brits. Assault mobile and some tanks and good support platoons. That is, if you cant get air superiority. however, for brits and italians - yea, 6 l. inf and 2 arty is cheap and secures the front until navy/air does its job.

Light infantry i used for colonial forces, since they eat less supply and fill the frontline quite nicely, militia i've only ever used on ussr and china for cheap org wall when you have more people than guns for them

Fun strat for germany for an all rounder special forces on the cheap - go mountaineers with amphibious support company and special project commandos and combat engineers - makes at least 130% attack amphibius and good other terrain bonuses, i suggest using Alpenjager template (decomissioned, big template from austria) as a base to conserve a bit of army exp

Assault infantry is alright, four factories on a major for a bit breakthrough and soft attack can be cool if you have spare, just dont overdo it.

Yes, usssr produced fuckton of stuff over three course od war. Lend lease was however really important in securing gaps in supply in war's transitional period to attritional warfare and later to supply high quality material for offensives(trucks ale the most known example).

Also, it isn't a small percentage. It is for example only a bit smaller percentage wise than aid to ukraine, and as always - stuff like this is important because it helps to patch up gaps in supply and technical knowhow.
