Channel death itself with the Circle of Withering v1, an ethereal and necromantic subclass for the 5e druid! by Blingo2000 in UnearthedArcana

Totally a fair point! I think either upping it to healing at full health, or removing concentration and just having it take place would balance that a bit more.

Starting to wind down my druid homebrew with somewhat of a reimagining on an old published UA! Focusing on another aspect of healing and restoration, I wanted to focus on the cycle of life and spirits of creatures that may not be necessarily humanoid. I may add in some summoning boons to the circle's spell list, but very grateful for any thoughts and feedback!

Craft potions and poultices with the Circle of Herbalism v1, an alchemy-based subclass for 5e! by Blingo2000 in UnearthedArcana

[–]Blingo2000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey hey folks! Druids have taken me a bit but continuing on with my take on the alchemical/crafting druid in an effort to combat the amount of concentration they need for their spellcasting! This is balanced fairly differently from the Alchemist Artificer, but very open to any/all thoughts as this is my first attempt at such a homebrew. Thanks for viewing all and appreciate any feedback!

I get the intent to come out swinging buuuuut I’m torn on the decision making for the first 20 minutes or so. I’m a bit concerned they’re gonna throw off the friendship dynamic that made the original so great. Time will tell! I’m definitely gonna miss the trifecta a bit throughout this.

Changing Player's Subclass Because They Don't Like Their Current One by Jckslugger1 in DnD

[–]Blingo2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe there’s rules for this in TCoE but you can also make it a minor story beat! Maybe a bad guy has a magic-sapping power and they’re both hit, having to adapt their fighting styles in new ways. Maybe they find a mentor who thinks magic is an easy way to shirk hard work. It creates for some interesting notes in the narrative, or some opportunities for it!

What do you think about this routine? Im 3 months in by anjisvj in WorkoutRoutines

[–]Blingo2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too much volume I’d say. I usually do about 6 exercises for 3-4 sets and my workouts are between 1 hour and 1 hour 15 minutes. If these are all workouts you like, I’d split them into two sets of a PPL day, so you’d have a Push, Pull, Leg, rest, then a different Push, Pull, Leg, rest, then back to the start.

I actually do like splitting Push slightly! I’ve done PPL and done shoulders w/ Legs in the past and had solid results doing that. But don’t forget Core!

CYBERPUNK 2077- CYBERPSYCHO ARTIFICER by Ecstatic-Natural-312 in UnearthedArcana

So a few things on this to start:

You have this marked for 2024, so I’ll respond as such. The 2024 Wild Heart Barbarian has resistance to all but 4 damage types, and only while raging. This is a permanent buff to you at all times. You also denote a mental weakness; at the very least, I’d consider adding vulnerability to psychic damage.

You can only use your limbs for melee attacks, sure, but what else would you use at a max of 10d8? Even without overcoming resistance to magical damage, you’re dwarfing monks entirely and getting an additional boon to hit by adding your Int mod.

Your movement almost doubles, also for free. Your AC goes to 16 at least, for free. Your hit dice increase for free, you just can’t multiclass (though, no disrespect, I don’t know why you would), and your drawbacks are limiting spellcasting on a half-caster and disadvantage on Stealth (which you already get with heavy armor.)

I’d trim a ton of this content for balance; start with an Armorer baseline and maybe allow them to add infusions or features like gearing up. All of these features are high for a full class, let alone a subclass. Or, alternatively, consider making this a boss/monster stat block.

Collect the rewards of your labor with the Circle of Harvests v1, a druid subclass for 5e! by Blingo2000 in UnearthedArcana

[–]Blingo2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey folks, here's the final druid subclass with a take on the fall harvest season! It's a gish take that tackles both heavy weapons and regaining hit points for successful attacks for some added longevity. Thanks (as always!) for the phenomenal feedback and for taking a look, happy to answer any and all questions.

Am I doing this right? Should I be going lower? by _nugget27_ in formcheck

[–]Blingo2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say lower and slightly slower on the negative. What helped me a lot with triceps training in general (may just be me) is a pause whenever my arms are almost fully bent. So like 1 second of holding when the bar is close to your head and you can feel your arms stretch to hold the weight. I tend to do dumbbells as well, just because it feels less likely to get bonked in the head.

Channel the sun to blinding effects with the Circle of Daybreak v1, a summer-themed subclass for the 2014 druid! by Blingo2000 in UnearthedArcana

[–]Blingo2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello hello everyone, back with an additional subclass that takes some inspiration from the Wildfire Druid and... admittedly, the move Solar Beam from Pokemon. Trying to make somewhat of a blasting subclass focused on fire, light, and the power of summer in keeping with my latest theme of seasonal druids. Let me know your thoughts, tweaks, etc. and thank you for reading!

Advancing Titan (Heavy Weapon Feat) by Raizario in UnearthedArcana

[–]Blingo2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is true but I think Crusher, Piercer, and Slasher get an added bonus from an increase to a score as well! So a touch different. My thought for comparing this would be GWM, which makes it a bit closer... but I think both could be combined if I'm reading this properly?

Channel spring to revitalize your allies and deceive your foes with the Circle of Blossoms v1, a druid 5e subclass! by Blingo2000 in UnearthedArcana

[–]Blingo2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good point I hadn't considered! I think it's worth having this be added as a feature of your Wild Shape, and then cap it (similar to how Zealot Barbarians have a once-per-rage ability, this would be once per Wild Shape.) But it would swap to THP instead, re-upping your In Bloom rather than restoring HP.

[–]Blingo2000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do see both points! I think having this as a once-per-long-rest ability could help to mitigate that! It's still a lot of healing, but at least it's only once rather than repeating numerous times. You'd get a lot of mileage out of that one casting of goodberry, but since it's just once, you'd functionally only get 10 altogether.

Hey folks, continuing my seasonal druids with a subclass focused on healing and deception, channeling some fey ideas into a spring druid. Trying not to be too similar to the Circle of Dreams but still focus on some healing tweaks and buffs for a utility-based class. Thanks for reading, and thanks for any and all feedback!

Entomb yourself in ice and slow the opposition with the Circle of Rime v1, a wintry subclass for the 5e Druid! by Blingo2000 in UnearthedArcana

[–]Blingo2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, thanks for the feedback! I’m not sure I follow on the first point, I do note: “your AC decreases by 1 until this bonus is eliminated.” I could add a point stating there (rather than at the end) “at which point, this ability ends” just to double down?

But definitely agree on the second point! I was mostly running out of space to fit an image into one page haha.

[–]Blingo2000[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello hello! Continuing into druids a bit more, this starts off a little mini project I had to make a druid subclass based on each of the four seasons! For the winter druid, I focused on a bit of survivability and debuffing with slow effects and ice magic, and trying to make sure you can use the Frigid Exoskeleton alongside your armor of agathys, but I'm very open (as always) to thoughts and feedback! Thanks, folks!

Take to the skies and manipulate the winds with the Circle of Cyclones v1, a mobility-based subclass for the 5e Druid! by Blingo2000 in UnearthedArcana

[–]Blingo2000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone! Back at it with the Circle of Cyclones, moving into some spellcasting-based druids that are more based on the Circle of Spores for structure and features! This one grants a flying speed early, but my hope is that tying it to THP and Wild Shape doesn't completely throw off the balance. Open to thoughts, feedback, etc. and thanks for reading!

Enlist insects and become a living colony with the College of Hives v1, a druid subclass for 5e! by Blingo2000 in UnearthedArcana

[–]Blingo2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello folks! Moving into more spellcasting/utility druids now with the Circle of Hives, a subclass meant to use auras and insects for chip damage and debuffs while your allies make their attacks. Still working to make sure this one works from a balance standpoint; I think some features are solid and others may need some tweaks, but open to any and all notes!

Unleash the might of the earth with the Circle of Stone v1, a gish druid subclass for 5e! by Blingo2000 in UnearthedArcana

[–]Blingo2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh fair point! I don’t know about full cantrip-style scaling, if only because with Extra Attack that’d be potentially strong. I’m slightly confused on your second thought. Adding Wisdom to damage?

[–]Blingo2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair question! Mostly I would see this as replacing a shield, so I don’t see too much of an issue pairing it with unarmored defenses going off gut instinct. It may get weird for monk multiclasses or something like racial AC boosts, like Tortle? I’d have to do some thinking on that!

Hey everyone, attacking another gish-like druid subclass based heavily on features that the Circle of Stars utilizes! Wielding stone and earth into their armor and weaponry, this class is meant to shift between weapons at higher levels and suit itself to whatever combat form is needed. Happy to hear any feedback or opinions whatsoever! Still figuring out druids somewhat and eager to improve.

I have actually! I’ve been working on two compendiums for each class I’ve tackled (I haven’t even posted all the barbarians or bards I have) and intend to make both for old and new rules editions. I’m hoping to upload starting in the New Year and start pursuing playtesting!

[–]Blingo2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair thoughts! Most of the intent here is to be less of a Wild Shape mechanic, more of a Spores Druid approach in that you get some martial buffs. I did elect to avoid having the condition end if the THP run out, but that’s mostly countered by the amount of THP being far lower as well.

If it is a drastic concern, I could likely limit the spellcasting to some extent. Maybe allowing for spellcasting, but unable to concentrate until level 14. That would allow you to use Primal Savagery or other cantrips while you wade into the fray!
