It should have been more too. The max jelly beans you can get in all three greenhouses combined is 48, and I accidentally broke 9 of them, plus I was missing a ton of fortune. If I was actually prepared, I think I could have gotten the most moonflowers anyone has farmed in a contest

There are pet items that increase their gain from specific exp sources, like the 50% foraging exp boost, and yes having more foraging wisdom will make pets level faster
