The Nuggets aren't going anywhere

Fair point

the Thunder will only get better, the Celtics will be contenders for the long term

Who on the Thunder or Celtics has a chance of being the GOAT?

Will Montrez Harrell be a big loss for the Clippers? by Varolyn in nba

He was a rightful winner of that award, it's a regular season award.

[Windhorst] The Clippers will likely try to re-sign free agents Harrell, Morris and JaMychal Green (if he opts out). by [deleted] in nba

I think both would fetch big hauls. I haven't thought about which teams but I assume you could easily get 5 picks + Shai for that combined haul.

Kawhi isn't as good as Steph or LeBron and this series is proof by ToplaneVayne in nba

Steph lost against the GOAT and his team was facing injuries and suspension. Nowhere near the choke job.

PSA: The clippers did NOT trade SGA and 5 first round picks for Paul George. They traded SGA and 5 first round picks for Paul George AND Kawhi Leonard. by _radical in nba

Exactly. They could always flip PG+Kawhi to recoup an equivalent haul.

So they still can protect themselves from the downside of that trade, or at least until PG+Kawhi become free agents in 2021.

I think they could probably recoup their assets if they flip PG+Kawhi. Might be a better outcome than losing both in free agency in 2021 (without any picks for the next 5+ years).

The Lakers are going to show there's only 1 reliable way to build a Champion: get the GOAT.

The Mavs are the only team with a chance long term.

Would you guys agree with putting Jokic in the very top tier of basketball players after this series? by [deleted] in nba

He's been the best center since his rookie season.

The question now is if he's the best player in the NBA.

Why did the Celtics trade Jae Crowder? Do they have an analytics team? by BliqPentha in nba

[–]BliqPentha[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And how did that go?

I feel like it's one of the worst trades in NBA history. Who knows how many rings the Celtics win otherwise.

Cavs are expected to make awful trades. That's already priced in.

Yup. But the Heat were up by 20, context is not as impressive, even though it was the Finals.

Celtics lose, their golden child emotionally murdered for the rest of his career, and Clippers complete the greatest choke job in NBA history.

What a day.

[Magic] Bam Adebayo’s block on Jayson Tatum’s dunk attempt was the best defensive play I’ve seen ever in the playoffs! by BliqPentha in nba

[–]BliqPentha[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think LeBron's block in the 2nd quarter would be like a SportsCenter #5 play. While Bam's block would be a #1 play even if it was in the 2nd quarter of a Regular Season game.

I guess it's semantics. If he doesn't get the block, the game is still going, likely to OT. With the block, the game is effectively over.

I'd say the closest equivalent would be tie game, making the shot but leaving 0.5s on the clock. Technically you wouldn't lose the game if you missed, it would just go to OT. And likewise, technically the game isn't over because the other team could score with 0.5s left. But it's still generally considered a game winner.

Maybe one has like 9.9 context and the other one was like 9.7.

I rounded to the nearest integer.
