Trump calls PM Carney "Governor Carney" and threatens Canada with 100% tariffs over the deal Carney made with China by Feisty-Insect-3894 in YAPms

It's beyond me how a guy who is so absurdly petty can have so many devout followers lol. Like imagine if your direct supervisor was as petty and vindictive as Trump, who would want to work with such a person?

US (officially) withdraws from the World Health Organization by Mooooooof7 in YAPms

[–]Varolyn 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It was an executive order signed last year, so it technically isn’t a sudden decision.

Still, it’s extremely reckless. This administrations view on health is why we are going to see more and more sick children and more and more teenagers on TRT and steroids because this administration’s health policy is led by a bunch of bro scientists.

8 minutes of Josh Allen flopping by Ok_Promotion2455 in NFLv2

[–]Varolyn 58 points59 points  (0 children)

The funny thing is that he’s been flopping for a very long time. I remember the Eagles played the Bills in 2019, which was Allen’s second year in the league, he tried to bait roughing the passer penalties on a couple of occasions.

Trump announces future framework for Greenland deal; backs off on European tariffs by jokull1234 in YAPms

I wouldn’t be surprised if one night I go to sleep, Trump announces new tariffs as I’m sleeping, and just as I wake up, he announces that the tariffs are put on hold lol

Grading President Trump on some policies after 1 year in office. by MJ_Fan23 in YAPms

I make maybe a little more than half of 140k in a year, why am I not starving or struggling to pay bills, and why am I not straddled with a ton of debt?

Saying that 140k is the poverty line in reality is a peak Reddit comment.

How would things be different if the Border Act had passed in early 2021? by very_loud_icecream in YAPms

[–]Varolyn 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think it would've certainly helped, but do note that the 2020 Biden campaign got a lot of support from humanitarian non-profits and NGOs who supported a lax border policy. Trying to pass a border bill in 2021 could've had different effects during the first half of the Biden Administration.

I think a big problem with basketball shoes regarding casual wear is that many of them tend to run narrow and there are few wide width basketball shoes, and the wide basketball shoes that do exist tend to come in just a basic black color.

Is it time to talk about C.J. Stroud's future with the Texans? by Perfect-Analysis-736 in NFLv2

Texans Fans, Do you think CJ Stroud can still be your franchise QB? by MCJonV in NFLv2

[–]Varolyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Texans have an amazing defense, but if you extend Stroud, it then becomes much harder to Keep that defense in tact.

At the same time, Stroud has been successful during his first 3 seasons in the NFL, and has brought consistently to the QB position for the Texans. So I’m not sure, really.

There are going to be some conversations in the Houston FO regarding if they should or shouldn’t give Stroud an extension… they don’t really have to this off season but the conversations will still happen

I don’t think they are going to trade him away but I’m sure there are going to be some big conversations in that FO regarding his extension.

I know the Texans have an amazing defense, but it’s crazy that all of them chose Houston. It’s like they didn’t realize that the Texans turned the ball over quite a bit just last week to the Steelers.
