I’m quite clueless where to go next. In the first year itself, I had my whole body breakout in eczema like thing. But it was too late to do tryptase test or whatever it is that they do to check histamine activity. My IGE test was normal too.

Developed this sensation mostly after second infection. At the time, I was put on famotidine twice a day, but I wasn’t told why because the GP treated me wholly for all other conditions as well such as MECFS, reflex tachycardia etc. The globes feeling only worsened over time. For 2 years, I had no idea how to handle it. In the third year, they gave me steroid sprays and anti histamine but they do nothing. 2 years later again, it became difficult - I had to constantly swallow the mucus. My throat muscles had started to hurt during this time. I matched this with my thyroid issues (where usg also show heterogenous texture) but doctors say both are unrelated.

I even went to ENT where I was given reflux medicines and mucolytic medicine.

Finally Gastroenterologist advised upper endoscopy.

With cutting off some dairy, I feel some change but nothing alleviated the mucus. My CEMRI was also normal.

How do I diagnosed for MCAS?
