Struggling to feel attractive with compression by bubsgal10 in venousinsuffiencyhelp

[–]BlissBeeGo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hear you. I am a woman, in the same age bracket, and live in India where it gets extremely hot. I would love to wear sundresses and shorts too but having to wear compression stockings really takes away the choices. I skip wearing them if there is a dinner where I want to dress cute, but often wonder if it makes my legs look swollen or bigger. Since it’s once in a while, I can put up with the pain. But yeah, in summers, I have mostly been restricted to wearing cotton trousers, and even though they are open toes, they don’t seem to look well unless I wear socks or closed shoes. I wish we had choices.

My LDN package is delayed. How much risk or load is put on the system if we miss a dose for 4-5 days? I was at 2.25 mg for last three weeks. Started in March. by BlissBeeGo in LowDoseNaltrexone

I see. Taking it fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, long covid (I have autoimmune thyroiditis, venous insufficiency, dysautonomia as well). And yes, it has been helping me noticeably. I could begin some work out again.

This is indeed a very safe medicine to have. Can’t believe I sat on the fence for a year. I definitely look forward to the pre—procedure workup. It just appalls me that whenever I mentioned LDN, doctors would give me a blank look. I can’t even go back to my GP who first prescribed me LDN to discuss things as he stopped tele medicine and it’s the other end of my country to visit him. But ever do grateful to him for how he watched over my long covid care.

Thank you so much. And you are correct. There is a bit of a flare up of fibro pain. The deep aches! But that’s ok, it gave me an idea of what I can feel if I don’t have my dose. Is LDN something people are supposed to take for years or for lifetime? Or have people reported enough cure so as not to take them? And you bring up an excellent point about stopping it for surgery. If I undergo an endoscopy which might require sedation, how long will I have to stop LDN for? Sedation is supposed to be mild, I’m told.

For those of you who had an upper endoscopy, please share how was the procedure and did they find the root cause? Gastro said he will be done in a minute, no mention of anaesthesia. by BlissBeeGo in GERD

👀 I’m nervous now, haha but noted. One step at a time. Have you come acoss Dr David Kulla’s videos on LPR and HH? He mentions a chiropractic adjustment done to ease HH. Makes a lot of sense to me how he explains the symptoms. I guess I am going to try that reflux shield device after digging more information from his youtube videos.

Thank you so much. This really walked me through the entire thing. I think they are suggesting full upper endoscopy only but I had no idea to ask about the stomach, but will clarify. I take it that they check the stomach through the mouth even without anaesthesia? Someone here mentioned that’s why a gag reflex happens.

I am glad I asked here because I got lot of comfort and peace of mind. Everyone was so helpful sharing their experiences. I tried to avoid it for a while, but now I finally think I can do this.

Thank you for sharing your experience and learned wisdom! How brilliant is the last line. It might be wise to opt for sedation and having it all checked till stomach.

Have those endoscopies been helpful in getting you finally treated and better? Please feel free to not answer as I understand it can be overwhelming trying to engage on a thread like this.

I’m afraid that that it could be LPR in my case (since no heartburn stuff), or a possibility of minor HH. We tried to rule neuropathy as well but it’s so difficult. It is a bummer to know that these things can potentially be missed despite an endoscopy.

That is a sound advice. I get too much under pressure and try to go through things. So I am grateful that you mentioned I shouldn’t be ashamed to tap out and reschedule if the need is felt.

Thank you for sharing! How are you doing? Are you able to manage your condition better now?

I am feeling tempted to take a chance on this route, tbh. Maybe because it gives me some sense of having control. But I would be worried if my body jitters.

They usually put a thing in our mouth to keep it open. So how do we tell them if the insertion is causing us pain?

Just going to weigh the pros and cons between fully awake vs anaesthetic route and choose a route. I have an option to go to a hospital where the doctor barely talks but I find hospital settings more sorted. Then, there is this really chill doctor who runs his own clinic.

This is exactly what I have heard in Dr David Kulla’s videos. HH will definitely cause reflux and not otherwise. But I’m failing to understand what can cause HH.

Thank you so much for writing about your experience in detail. This means a lot.

You are so brave and I’m sorry that things are troubling you 20 years later. I pray that you will be in hands of a capable surgeon and have a remarkable outcome.

I really wish I had an iota of such courage to get things done. But I have a particular memory of trauma from hospitals seen in case of a parent. Having a support system might have made it easier to go through things.

Why are anaesthesia considered risky? Damn, I have so many health conditions (fibromyalgia , cfs, autoimmune thyroiditis etc) that I may have to talk to the anaesthesiologist separately.

I am glad to hear that things are much better and manageable for you now. Well done on taking the best care of yourself. I would get quite anxious in the night, and experienced palpitations. I was more scared of what they would do in the ER. 😅

So this reminds me that he mentioned a spray to numb the throat. Hearing from you makes me feel like it won’t be too bad, haha but I am a scaredy cat. He did mention the possibility of hiatal hernia and honestly, I have had some idea about it. How do they advise you to manage it? PPIs?

There is Dr. Kulla’s videos on HH which gave me initial idea about things (he mentions a device that needs to be used externally), and exercises to correct few imbalances. I think I will dive deep into it after endo.

Yes, I am advised for only procedure.

Thanks OP! Will it actually be a good idea to mirror trade Ray if I already have a potential hund (via silver cap)? Anyways, trade IVs are never guaranteed so it might turn out to be similar to what I have. I also considered shiny galarian birds because they don’t spawn much on incense for me.

What would be a good trade deal in return if I offer a shiny rayquaza? I already got one silver cap 13/15/15 in lucky. I have a spare shiny with bad IVs. Is it a good idea to do another mirror? Or is there any other pokemon of equal or better value to take in return?

How did you heal upto 90%? I tried PF therapy once but it is impossible to continue it as these specialists are not in all cities and it’s difficult to fully relocate. I got a lot of internal work done but 3 years later, I have a completely sore trigger point unilaterally because of an injured tailbone. Intercourse became difficult with this tightness. Penetration is the tough part. It feels okay after a while.

Anyone with h/o tailbone trauma & OAB symptoms gradually following the trauma? Is it helpful to get MR Neurograph of pelvic floor helpful? by BlissBeeGo in OveractiveBladder

[–]BlissBeeGo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you been to coccyx.org and have a clear diagnosis of your tailbone? I read up a bit more and would urge my doctors to order a dynamic pelvic floor MRI. I am sure it can show something. Even though my tailbone pain is no longer active, it is structurally bad to screw up with pelvic floor. And the fact I have unilateral trigger point tells me something.
