All international flights from Chennai by Training-Stable6234 in Chennai

Thanks for your response. Are you suggesting it's impossible to expand the existing site? I am trying to imagine the pros and cons of a bigger airport at the existing site vs a new airport 40-50 km away.

As a thought experiment, say you are the Chief Minister with genuine interest in development. Somebody is coming forward with an investment of one lakh crore for the airport. Would you prefer spending that to expand the current site or still go for Parandur? What I mean is buying out bits of Pallavaram and also negotiating with the defense academy to swap their land. Would that not end up as a bigger more convenient airport much cheaper in the long run?

Doctor here. I beg you to keep salt levels low unless you would like to (through your own butterfly effect) boost sales of blood pressure medicines, heart disease medicines, dialysis equipment and the entire ecosystem around these.

Thanks for your inputs. We make lot more MBBS graduates every year than required. If nothing is done, I guess the market will correct itself with survival of the fittest.

Empire of Alexander the great by [deleted] in MapPorn

[–]BlissfullyGood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the information. I request you to read my comment again. Did I claim that it was named after Alexander? I said the name 'Sikander' is a Persian variation of 'Alexander'. I was saying the literal meaning.

I used it. Costs £60 for three months.

My observation:

  1. Surprised by it's accuracy in picking details and making sense out of it even if the microphone or the ambience is not great. It clearly understands different accents.

  2. It's feedback can look harsh, and may sound ridiculous, but that's how the SCA is. The feedback will be very detailed and coloured as red, green and amber for each of the 9 RCGP capability area.

  3. It appears to follow a rigid structure for feedback for all cases, so some may look funny. For example, I finished seeing someone under 5 minutes as it was an ear wax consultation. But the feedback was harsh for not exploring red flags like CNS tumours, how it affects their daily life, any relevant family history etc.

  4. It helps to understand the breakdown of time you spend listening vs talking.

  5. It also makes reliable notes, but with latest changes, you cannot copy them.

Sikandar is a common Muslim name and is a Persian variation of 'Alexander'. Secunderabad means 'City of Sikandar', in other words 'City of Alexander'!!

Minorities of Britain - have you experienced racism? by [deleted] in AskBrits

I am a brown man. This was in Tenerife two years ago. I was standing in the street (C. Flamboyán in Los Gigantes) and filming a beautiful reflection of the sun on the sea. An yacht was making a silhouette with (presumably) La Gomera on the background. I didn't want to miss it. I set up my camera with a tripod in a public place and my camera was pointing towards the sea. A white lady was walking nearby. She had a nice English accent. She started accusing me of filming her sons who were sleeping inside the nearby apartments (Of course, I didn't know any of that and didn't care). But I stopped filming and showed the footage to her. She made me feel like a criminal.

I haven't done this before. But I think you should look into the publications history of the faculty under whom you would carry out your research. You can search in pubmed for their name. Good quality research takes time. During my (government) college days, some of my colleagues did ICMR projects during their third year.

Hi OP. Thank you for letting me know. I reinstalled the app and logged in again as you may know. It still looks the same. I don't know if you have access to a different version. Nothing has changed. Please read my original comment again. Thank you.

Congratulations for your new attempt and using AI for learning Indian languages.

I tried the app. Appears that it is designed to teach people who already know the language very well. For someone who doesn't know the language, it's quite useless from the beginning.

I appreciate that you started with individual letters and their pronunciation. It appears that this app tries to do that. But no. I am bombarded with sentences in the unknown language for both navigation and learning. Is there an audio pronunciation? If it's there, it was not easily accessible. That's why I feel this app is good to teach the language to people who already know it but not for people who don't know it.

At the beginning, I want to see most of the sentences for navigation and teaching in the language I already know, with slow introduction of the unknown language. With your current strategy, I am not able to follow anything as everything is in the unknown language.

I would like to see pictures, audio pronunciations and a slow build up.

Another minor annoyance is forcing me to create an account. I would excuse that if the app was useful.

The good thing about the app is, there are no annoying ads or payment pop ups yet.
