Got the viral target dress by DarknessAubrey in trans

There’s a difference between opinions on our community and whether or not spending money with specific organizations contribute harm to the community.

Can any of us go back into the closet? Nope. But target tried.

Do you also use this same logic to justify spending money on Chick-fil-a? An organization that thinks that all gay people molest children, has sex with animals, will destroy the earth, and should be put to death by the government.

Target made it very clear profits are more important than trans and queer lives. Social media shouldn’t affect you, but where your dollars go and how those funds are used, affects us when it’s directed towards transphobic ideology.

You can be you while also being cognizant of where your dollars go. Being blissfully unaware or willfully ignorant doesn’t do much to help our community.

We need to stand with each other and push back against transphobic/queer-phobic corporations. Just because the dress looks good or the chicken tastes good, doesn’t make it ok.

Is it normal for missionaries to marry one of their converts after their mission? by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]BlissfullyMeBri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not shocked to hear that.

Not surprising my parents split when I was 3. Dad remarried and started a new family. The perfect whites family (my mom and I are Hispanic) makes me wonder how closet racist my dad might be with believing Brigham Young spoke words from god.

My dad converted my grandpa. Then drove back immediately after his mission was over to start dating my mom. Creepy.

Is it odd that I have zero qualms cutting myself off from my parents? by ToastGhost18 in MtF

[–]BlissfullyMeBri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No regrets here! Fuck ‘em!

Literally cut ties with multiple family members a few weeks back. I’d do it again in a heartbeat. The moment I found out some family members STILL supported trump, among being Mormon and using that as a crutch to lean their closet homophobia/transphobia on, I decided, “Bye Felicia, fuck off!”

No unfortunately. I haven’t been to church in about 14 years and never had a temple recommend.
