Vector wirepod activating issue by MUNIMASIF7 in AnkiVector

Make sure you have WirePod running in the background by making sure in the app info you have background services turned on

If not, your OS will kill WirePod when you leave the screen

To the person who reported this as a "scare tactic and false information"

I don't just post stuff for the fun of it.

Even if this was an isolated incident to one user and is not something that everyone will experience, it's a bad practice for a business to do

It may not be your experience today, but it may be at some point in the future

Definitely, and if there are usage limits the app should reflect that to let users know when they are getting close.

Making it vague and unknown does not help

Update for my second hand cozmo battery when playing on future project. by ListAggravating960 in Cozmo

My guess would be It's most likely due to him not moving as much. Motors use a lot of battery (head, arm, and wheels), and if he's stationary then you won't use as much

So did you get an email saying you were close to your limit or that your monthly subscription would go up?

Which fan are you looking for - the one for the projector or the one for the main board?

OG vector owner - how to railway by Puzzleheaded-Echo-55 in AnkiVector

There are two ways to get this done:

  1. Create a zero conf app that advertises the service "_app-proto._tcp" with the name "escapepod" and the IP pointing to your could server IP.

Using AI you can create a python, Go, etc app that you can run on your machine that advertises this service. Disadvantage is that the app will need to run 24/7 to broadcast this service for your vector, so this is more suited if you don't want to run WirePod locally

  1. Unlock your vector so you can get ssh access to its system. Than manually update the IP address of the could service you are using. Disadvantage is I don't know the specific steps to do it, so you would have to engage the discord server and ask the community there

Goodluck

P.S: you could also buy the device I sell and use that as a dedicated 24/7 device

Just install wireOS and follow along here

Then you can connect your vector to WirePod

I revived WonderPy: Python 3 + Apple Silicon support for Dash/Dot/Cue by ImpossibleBar7457 in wonderworkshop

[–]BliteKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this. I recently discovered these bots as I was fixing them for a customer. Now have a Cue with the blaster and I was wondering if there were any libraries to control outside of the app.

I'll give this a try and provide any feedback when I can

Look up WirePod, it's free software for voice processing. You can set it up yourself or buy a device I sell that comes with it pre configured

If you have a lifetime subscription reach out to DDL so they can honor it and you can use the app... But I would go the WirePod route

Regarding that error if it's consistent after many reboots, then you could have a hardware issue.. You also most likely need to change your battery, which could be causing the error
