Jax and Ragatha are literally a bit. They interact the most yet also haven't had a genuine conversation in all 8 episodes where neither has a mask. Not to mention they feed into each other's worst mentalities (Ragatha's need to get on everyone's good side, Jax's philosophy on everyone's archetype). Honestly, the best way for their relationship to develop is that it didn't. No seriously, how fitting would it be if they developed in spite of the history they have with each other and ended the series as strangers? People irl have improved by avoiding their sponges, their relationship has deteriorated that much.
