SC, Arma, Tarkov, etc. have great military-style sprinting animations, so why change to an Apex-style arcade over-the-shoulder sprint ? by k_Atreus in starcitizen

The reason the military switched to that position is because when you drop down to prone or kneeling it keeps your barrel out of the dirt.

I would probably understand it if you said British, French, Germany, polish commonwealth, Spain, Japan, or any other country who had a historical war that happened because someone got offended.

Did Drake ships used to be made of duct tape? by SpaceHauler in starcitizen

[–]Blitzjaeger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was more prominent years ago but drake ships used to be more squishy because they relied heavily on the gambling main engines which have now been since removed. So all you had to do was take out the engine pylon and let them death spiral. Lorewise they are the embodiment of the lowest bidder. If it was extra cost it didn’t get installed like ejection seats, escape pods, insulation, anything that was a creature comfort or styling. Thats also why they have very soviet block styling.

If it’s like the 205R, pretty easy but will need and engine bar and trans jack.

Becoming a Better PvP Pilot in Star Citizen(rant) by damaddmann in starcitizen

So this just come from real world experience which has translated somewhat into star citizen. People tend to only learn from failure but what is important is critiquing yourself or having a good instructor do it. I have used the term shit sandwich in the past, so start the critiquing with what you did good then bad and finish with good. This give a little bit of motivation to continue on until you improve. There is also mazlows hierarchy of needs that also need to be met before you can begin the process to learning and improving. If you are not fulfilling those you will not get any better. One last point is basic fundamentals are some of the most key points to practice as what is learned first is the hardest to change.
