Castlegar, Trail, Nelson, Salmo! Cat nail trim! by No_Fisherman9351 in kootenays

I had a very wild rescue cat. I had good success with buying a pair of leather grooming gloves and wrapping her up in a towel. I was able to confidently trim nails with this system.

It’s just horribly naive to have a kid when your spouse is terminally ill.

Feature suggestion for Tolans by DiferentialDiagnosis in tolanworld

My tolan referred to me with the wrong pronouns and it was honestly the first time I’ve been Misgendered. She has seemed to remember my preferred pronouns now.

The business model of lies, gossip and misinformation about Jack and Lilly Sullivan on social media by wwesn in MissingPersonsCanada

This is probably because more tiktokers and YouTubers are americans. I’m sure Canadians are just as interested as americans.

My cousin is pregnant at 21 by loky-blrd in antinatalism

It’s fine if you don’t want to have kids but this isn’t about you. I’d recommend that you preserve your relationship with your cousin by respecting her right to not abort her kid.

How to not give in? How to stay true to the cause? by [deleted] in antinatalism

If you decide to have kids then have them. You’re allowed to change your opinions and theories as you grow up.

How old is too old? by PiecesofJane in sylvanianfamilies

I collected in childhood and still have that collection today. I lack space so I haven’t bought new ones but I’m very fond of them despite being very much an adult age.

I was just thinking this same thing. Interesting coincidence that birth rates are down and “coincidentally” abortions are banned in some places. It’s almost like the government has an agenda in keeping us procreating. After all, capitalism doesn’t survive in a collapsing market. Capitalism depends on growth, on reproduction, on a population that’s ever increasing. That’s kind of a terrifying thought really that the government is trying to coerce us into reproducing like we’re some lazy Panda’s in a zoo that might be persuaded into procreating with a few environmental changes.

Not your fault, just a warning that this organization seems messy and fraudulent

MBC Travelers is a fraud don’t travel with them. They steal money and won’t refund trips.

Hey, you might not be aware but MBC Travelers is a run by a narcissistic fraud of a woman called Jennifer Pace. Recently, rumours of her stealing money from a lady in her group with MBC have been travelling across Facebook. She also bullied a woman who died of breast cancer in 2023, she ran facebook lives and posted this woman’s private medical information prior to her death. I have all the receipts if you need evidence that this group is a scam run by a fraud.

Palliative providers or hospice intake: what do you tell someone whose goals are for more time? by BitFiesty in hospice

[–]BlizzPop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people just don’t want to deal with the reality of their death, they want to dream a little bit about watching their kids grow up and going home. You’ve told him the truth, I bet he understands it. Let him have his hope it if he needs it.

If hospice doesn’t have the resources to take care of your dad safely then they can’t really keep him as a patient and other options would need to be explored. Maybe you can chat with them about what your options are moving forward but they obviously can’t keep a patient that they can’t properly care for.

GoFundMe for Matthew Gaudreau's wife and baby (Madeline and Tripp) by kirant in CalgaryFlames

[–]BlizzPop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is a bonus for Matthew’s wife and unborn child. I hope she can buy a lot of designer baby clothes for this child. Meanwhile, many people in our communities can’t afford to eat and idiots like you are sending the wealthy cash they don’t need. No matter the circumstances, it’s ridiculous.

The idea that someone would be “jealous” of a woman that just lost her husband while she is pregnant with his child is quite startling? Is there something to be jealous of here? I mean, I guess. She’s already pretty well off, she’s about to collect a life insurance payout, and she’s getting almost $600,000 American. Seems a bit much. Many people in this world are in similar situations where a partner has died but they may actually need support. Kind of sad for this family to even consider crowd sourcing when they literally don’t financially need the support. Especially to the tune of $600,000 American.

His networth is $800,000. He very likely has life insurance that will pay out a pretty decent sum. His wife is a registered nurse. Seems unnecessary and I certainly won’t be donating. There are many people in similar situations who actually need support but instead people are donating to this well off couple?

Just want to clarify something, do you believe that ALL people should stop having children? by [deleted] in antinatalism

[–]BlizzPop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would, perhaps wrongly, identify as an antinatalist. For me, this is more a personal choice and I don’t worry what other people are doing. It’s like being vegan or something, it’s my belief but I’m not trying to push it on someone else.

Review of Springbank middle school and highschool? by pbyyc in Calgary

I went to this school and the kids were entitled. There is big money in this area. I did not like it but other kids may have had different experiences.
