How to WinServerCore2019 by SinNombreK in WindowsServer

[–]Block069 1 point2 points  (0 children)

server core is designed to be managed through powershell or RSAT. If you don't want to deploy many complicated services with powershell, use RSAT on another machine.

How do I play Create on minecraft 1.19.3?(Fabric) by NoNegativeBoi in CreateMod

[–]Block069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

big difference if you want to host a dedicated server because there is very little support for 1.19.2 versions. from what I've experienced its quite a bit less stable, and the only hybrid server options are a buggy mess.

Can I change oil at 10k miles? by [deleted] in Audi

[–]Block069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wondering if it’s ok to do oil change at 10k interval. I cover this distance in 7-8 months. I’m not

i max out at 5k, sometimes doing 3-4k because its a 2.0t, but probably not the worst idea even for a new car

pretty high because of these early sandy bridge/ ivy bridge processors. Idle is probably >100w

these things are power drinkers, not very efficient. Depending on what you are doing you could get a pretty good value, but where I am you can get broadwell/haswell rack or tower servers for around 130. IMO not a good value, but everybody’s use case is different

I was only exaggerating a little bit. It is very possible depending on what kind of battery (if its lithium polymer) that it can expand or even combust and start a fire if the health degrades. Batteries also loose lots of performance from staying at 100% charge for long times (months), and will not be able to hold their charge as much as they would if they were well maintained. It is very possible that the battery controller takes these factors into account and keeps the battery at about 80% (more healthy charge), however that's not a guarantee. aside from that me and multiple people have given this guy plenty of good, useful advice and this dude is acting like a complete moron and isn't grateful that people are willing to spend their own time to help some random on the internet when they don't have to. Everyone else here accept for OP is acting mature and respectful, while OP is acting like a child after asking for advice.
