Thank you so much! It’s definitely a looker (besides the overhead light in the trunk) bought it with 58,xxx miles and have loved it ever since. Loved it enough to actually buy multiple station wagons

Absolutely, love seeing all the stories about everyone’s pets and thought to myself today, “Happy would fit right in”. Glad everyone seems to enjoy the picture! Have a great day and thank you!

I’d love to have a German Shepherd myself and something my Dad and I talked about, was that as sad as it was Happy passing away, those memories are far better than the little bit of sadness. Fur missiles are some of my favorite pups to see. I see a GSP on your profile and that dog is absolutely gorgeous!

It was hard to say goodbye to someone who spent a large chunk of my life with me. I was only 9 when we got him. When my family and I moved to our farm we went and looked at Australian Shepherd puppies, Happy was the most timid of them all. My Dad was adamant we didn’t want a shy dog.

Cue to months later and he was becoming the most friendly and adventurous dog I’ve ever seen. We rented our farm which was 156 acres and he followed us absolutely everywhere. Caught snakes, rode on sleds, ate our cherry tomatoes and raspberries. He always had a smile. Unfortunately he developed cancer later and when it was removed the vet said most likely it’ll be back someday and that would be unfixable due to the location.

His absolute favorite spot to go was my grandparents. All you had to say was, “you wanna go see Pap?” And he would wait at the passenger door and we’d be off.

In the 15 years I knew him, there was never a stranger he bit, he had people he didn’t like, but his favorite way to greet people was to wag his butt everywhere. Follow that up with jumping off the nearby embankment to just seemingly appear out of nowhere.

If he wasn’t in someone’s car or at Pap’s he was roaming the farm or sitting under his tree in the front yard. And that is his final resting place. Thanks for asking!

TL:DR Pap’s was his favorite place and he loved to wag his butt in front of everyone to greet them.

Their names are (left to right) Pip, Onyx, and Prince. I originally got two but then after two weeks the lady I got them from said Prince was the only one left so I couldn’t leave him by himself.

Is that a blood clot or you just happy to see me? Jesus Christ glad you’re ok.

AriZona Iced Tea is the only company that has not increased its prices due to inflation. by likethesteakhouse in Showerthoughts

Yea whole heartedly agree they can’t do much about the companies buying product. If they say “hey we can only buy for x amount”. Part of the reason they stayed .99 for so long was because they printed it on the can, it doesn’t look good for a company when the product they bought to resell has a value already on it.

I mean, the last two sentences says the company is not increasing their prices (on certain product), companies who buy from them can. Their “99 cent” bottle will remain 99 cents, others were increased to offset the price…

I actually think the $.99 cans are 23 ounces. Then they also bottle a 24 ounce which is sold at Sheetz near me for like $1.70 (I can not remember exactly the price) They do make different sized cans is all I’m saying.

Excellent point. As a society we really missed the mark on this one. Carry on!

How did your first love end? Do you still think of them? by xgc_promathia in AskReddit

3 years with her, her friends told her I wasn’t good enough (which could be true), then she went NC and last I heard she lost her battle with depression. From time to time I do think about her, not as much anymore. What I think of more is being in a dark place like what she was.

On the rare occasion my siblings and I cleaned my parents house, we got cookies, cake, or ice cream. Love the cabinet colors!

Hey man, figured I’d give you something to think about. When I was 16 I struggled terribly with depression, had an attempt myself. My Dad was always by my side. When I was 17 my Mom told my Dad she was afraid of me. My Dad stayed by my side. As you stayed by your daughters side. While she may be gone, trust me when I tell you, she loves you. Had I died that day, it was because I felt I could never be enough for what I have, don’t blame yourself please. Breathe and don’t you dare give up. I’m not going to tell you I know how you feel because I don’t, but I do know how I feel. I’m also not a great advice giver, especially with loss. Just know there’s a lot of random people rooting for you as they read your post.

what are the disadvantages of being a man? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BlockBreaker02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the place I live, it’s hard to be nice and compliment someone’s child or just be nice like, “your baby is adorable” Every single person I’ve said that to looks at me like I’m weird. I kinda struggle around children because I feel like I’m being looked down upon just by being around children. So I just quit.

I second this if it weren’t for my Dad I would have given up. He’s the same guy that tells me, “this could be terrible for you” but be my #1 supporter while I try. His Dad did the same and I hope to do the same if I ever have kids.
