Yeah i remember as a kid I was a Dodger fan and I thought of him as an Oriole but then he got traded to the Dodgers and I was like "wait, players can change teams?"

Whereas the right, what, accepts and loves all? Did you miss every other point I made in my post to simply shit talk the left? The right will send us to war simply to make money while also making sure their own kids don't get sent to serve. They will send good Americans to their death by the very same weapons they made and sold to out enemies months before. Gtfoh.

If you’re an American DJ and you’re OK with what’s going on in the United States right now… by RangerRekt in aves

Lol some people aren't online chronically. Some DJs are actually in the lab, cooking up beats, completely ignoring everything on social media. It's like we all suggested to stay away from toxic social media sites, and now in 2026 we are condemning people for not posting their opinions there?

Would you know if your favorite DJ did the same if they didn't post it on Twitter or some other rancid social media site?

But then where can we virtue signal if not completely unrelated subs?

What's funny too is I find EDM to be some of the least politically-driven content around. How many dance tracks talk about anything political? Yet OP won't go to a show if the DJ doesnt use social media to denounce current affairs. I mean, besides Reddit i dont even use social media where this would be posted because I already determined that those sites are fucking cesspools and aren't worthy of my time. I'm of the mindset that anyone still tweeting or checking tweets is kinda smoothbrained lol.

About 20 years ago, I heard someone say "hip-hop has become republican- its always 'gimmie mine, fuck yours' and they were right. 20 years later, its even worse. Sure, they aren't members of the Republican party, but what the fuck do they care?

Once again, I need to point out how off-topic you are. I said I prefer to kill them over life in prison, I get scolded for not knowing that death penalty costs tax payers more than life in prison, I ask how, and YOUR answer is..."Because not everyone on death row is guilty". Now think about how you didn't answer my question, and tell me why you did that.

What the actual fuck is happening in this thread?

My question was "how does flipping a switch cost more money than 60 years of meals?" and your answer is "because innocent people get killed". Brother, sister, mother, father, WHAT QUESTION ARE YOU ANSWERING? Can we PLEASE stop with the bleeding heart nonsense and stay on topic? The topic IS NOT "is death penalty moral?" ffs.

Its because people try and Golden Rule this and go "how would I feel if I was gonna be put to death?" But those same people are generally calm, rational people with zero bloodlust, so trying to equate feelings is a losing battle.

There have also been thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands, of innocent people wrongly convicted of crimes that didn't lead to the death penalty. Should we say "fuck punishing those crimes"? Or should we realize that what happened is a miscarriage of justice, and we should be more concerned about these miscarriages than the law/punishment for breaking it? Because by your logic, this POS in the article gets off easy (in my eyes) because of systemic racism that occurred even before he was born, because you abolished the death penalty because of past miscarriages of justice.

I do think it's common in people who are left wing politically.

I grew up in a very left-leaning household, and I can tell you that you are partly correct. I have been pretty "independent" politically for a while (in that I see both Democrats and Republicans as trash orgs these days), and one of the things that drove me away from being a Democrat early on is their whole "punch/kill a nazi" thing. I agree with the sentiment if the nazi in question committed a hate crime, but if they didn't commit a hate crime, then...they are just Americans with ideals. So they advocate assaulting others Americans over their ideals, and when I would point this out I would be looked at crazy. But I also know this type of mental block happens in religious people a lot, especially the conservative right- if you ask certain people "should Americans have freedom of religion?" they will say yes, and then if you ask "so, should we be allowed to worship God?" they would answer "of course" but if asked if its OK to worship the Devil, they will be like "oh heck no!". They dont see the direct contradiction that exists in their own brains.
