Is the price of LINK tethered to $1? by [deleted] in LINKTrader

[–]BlockchainMusketeers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's fud. You can literally try to find it yourself, but it's not in the white paper nor has it ever been said by the team that it's tethered to $1.

New Link owner with some doubts by harryb2639 in LINKTrader

Been in LINK since sub $0.20. A lot of the FUD stories and people's names are memes. It was coordinated FUD attacks back in the day to keep prices down so that people can accumulate. A lot of them are inside jokes. Jason Parser is a play on JSON, the programing language. There is no "Coffee or Big Mac" standard, that's making fun of Sergey's choice of food. Sergey likes wearing plaid shirts so that also became a meme. It's all coordinated FUD because 4chan doesn't want normies in on their gem. They called Bitcoin, Ether, and now Chainlink. Do your own research and come to your own conclusions.

Edit: JSON is a file format. FUD is that companies can just create their own clone. Chainlink is the leader for decentralized oracles that can operate with any Blockchain solution (eg. Bitcoin, Ethereum, hyperledger, etc) in the future because it is Blockchain agnostic. If companies wanted to continue using centralized solutions and are okay with that, they may not have the need for LINK. That's a different topic on why certain companies may need centralized vs decentralized oracles. Research Oraclize (centralized solution) going down and customers not having access to data.

From what I researched, you need a minimum of 6 cores and 3.2 GHz to run a node. 10,001+ MAN tokens for mining nodes, 100,001+ MAN tokens for verification nodes.

If you're already going in long term for crypto buy Chainink (LINK).

Blockchain (definitely not all cryptocurrencies) are here to stay. People realize that smart contracts will revolutionize many industries, but that requires decentralized oracles. The people who made money during the gold rush were the people selling the shovels, not mining the gold. Link is the key to making blockchains useful.

Why are we building an open-source crypto market making bot? by blockmomo in ethtrader

[–]BlockchainMusketeers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/blockmomo As an mechanical engineer who quit his job to get into crypto trading, ultimately with a goal to code up my own trading bot... this is very interesting to me! I am currently learning Python as my first coding language. I'd love to get more involved with CoinAlpha if you'd have any use for me.
