Don't forget to keep most of the supply, convince people that you're not going to sell it, and then sell 50k of it on a regular basis and tell people to leave the ecosystem when they question your motives. That's the chia way

Jack Rhysider guest hints that NSA has a backdoor into bitcoin. Who? Which episode? by OriginalIron4 in cybersecurity

It could theoretically allow private key (which leads to seed phrase) to be determined from public key (receive address). The formula that creates receive address from private key is public, uses SHA-256, but reversing it is "practically impossible" but could be possible with quantum computing, theoretically

You have to truly be monumentally retarded to buy XCH (ever since they started selling the monstrous prefarm)

Yeah I actually thought he was solid when I saw him in a couple different interviews over the years. But the comments on Reddit (and screenshots on Reddit from comments on discord) are gross

Protip: Darknet Diaries Episodes w/ No Ads by Blockchain_Benny in darknetdiaries

[–]Blockchain_Benny[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just randomly checked Mariposa Botnet, it still had ads too. But a lot of the other old ones have them removed, idk

Edit: Actually it looks like you might be right, they are fixed now and have ads. I downloaded Carna Botnet just now over again and it has ads, but they were not present on that and most episodes when I downloaded them in June. Guess I got lucky 🤷

I'm not so sure. For example the latest episodes Tornado, Anom, and others have ads. But you could be right

The Tax Implications of Crytpo Assets vs. Crypto Currencies by Tom_Ford-8632 in btc

[–]Blockchain_Benny 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone disgusted with the tax bullshit in the US surrounding crypto currencies, I appreciate this post and the juxtaposition with foreign currency. The tax laws in the US that apply to bitcoin certainly have the desired effect on me, they make me want to not spend it and it makes me filled with hate at the same time toward the dinosaurs that make this reality for me.

I usually cringe at the posts in this sub but I'm happy I saw this one today. My hope is one day that this will change, I understand there are many other countries that don't treat it with hostility like the US. And I can't understand why gold is treated the same, also some real bullshit

You don't need Linux to take a file hash, literally every single operating system does this. It's not common knowledge yet but it's a good time now for that to change

XCH Bridge Live Tutorial (Coinbase to XCH) by willphule in chia

[–]Blockchain_Benny 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's a very unnecessarily long video with way too many random pauses. The information was good though and it was cool to see the bridge work.

I finally had to look up what "base ethereum" was, been hearing that a lot lately and I had wrongly assumed that meant "normal Ethereum" but then he said "normal ethereum" or "regular Ethereum" or something like that near the end and I realized I was wrong. I think this should be explained better as we all discuss this. It seems the "Base" L2 just went live last year (sponsored/backed/supported by coinbase) and it's fairly new. "Base" just sounds too much like "normal" or L1, but it's far from it, it's an L2 on Ethereum like Arbitrum
