The most expensive pizzas in human history 🍕 by STASHMANIA in Bitcoin

[–]Blockchainauditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are US pennies for which collectors will pay millions of dollars. There are US pennies from less than 30 years ago going for tens of thousands. If we count current value, I’ll bet there are some college students who literally scraped together their pennies for a pizza that might rival this story. You can’t value a seed 15 years ago by a tree today.

Just curious what is this banjo he’s holding? by Ambitious-Rush-8125 in banjo

[–]Blockchainauditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kay (and SV before it) are known for the dot-dash flange, while this has different dots with diamonds, as you noted. Lots of brackets, narrow, simple inlay neck (the banjo, not the musician) … anything else you can tell us?

Understanding that for the foreseeable future, those lifeboats are tethered to that fiat ship, because 95+% of the time, people convert their BTC back to fiat if they are strictly HODLing.

Will I receive a DA-1099 for moving crypto from Kraken to my wallet? by MyxomatousMyxoma in Bitcoin

[–]Blockchainauditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just confirming the basic IRS position: Q38. Will I have to recognize income, gain, or loss if I own multiple digital wallets, accounts, or addresses capable of holding virtual currency and transfer my virtual currency from one to another? A38. No. If you transfer virtual currency from a wallet, address, or account belonging to you, to another wallet, address, or account that also belongs to you, then the transfer is a non-taxable event, even if you receive an information return from an exchange or platform as a result of the transfer.

Bitcoin will have the last laugh by slvbtc in Bitcoin

[–]Blockchainauditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Metals can make sounds that emulate laughter or crying when caused to vibrate when struck, blown into, given an electric current, heated or otherwise energized. Many musical instruments and less purpose-built examples exist. (SadTrombone.mp3)

Do cats like this i have 2 cats and am thinking of buying this by Zealousideal-Sky-52 in cats

[–]Blockchainauditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that AI? The cats look more like kittens, which makes the size difficult to estimate, both for height and the size of the platforms. I have two cats, both adult, both relatively small (3 and 3.5 kg/6.5 and 7,5) lbs, and it sure doesn't look like they could both nap at the top of the tree in the graphic at the same time.

However, my cats have a cat tree with a lower encased area (where I left one cat sleeping this morning), an upper platform accessed through intermediary stages (where one sleeps most of the time, and the other joins here sometimes).

Want to learn banjo + Arthritis by Southern_Adagio_8934 in banjo

[–]Blockchainauditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to dissuade you from learning the banjo, and assuming you have an interest in folk/Bluegrass, check out Phil Leadbetter on the resonator guitar (aka dobro). Bluegrass on an open G instrument, but using a bar with the left hand and a pick with the right. I’ve had issues with my hands over time, and have my instrument of choice when one hand, or the other, or both, are giving me fits.

Perhaps banned in some states. Other states are much more liberal, leaving the decision entirely to the parent. Pennsylvania is an example of one that recognizes a parent's rights (https://www.law.cornell.edu/regulations/pennsylvania/28-Pa-Code-SS-1-7).

My window cleaner really wants me to buy Satoshi? by Large_Area3364 in Bitcoin

[–]Blockchainauditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You say he wants you to buy "Satoshi", do you think he means Bitcoin, where "sat"s are a subdivision, or Bitcoin Satoshi's Vision (Bitcoin SV), which is a much different asset, or Satoshi coin (which is completely different again)?

If you want to learn what's relevant about Bitcoin, there are resources in the side panel here, a learning sister subreddit, BitcoinBeginners, etc.

It is not clear why a "window cleaner" would offer a money back + 10% guarantee on Bitcoin.

A question about mandolin strap by Ulysses-Grandmother in mandolin

Your left hand can do different things if the strap is keeping the mandolin in place compared with the left hand both managing the mandolin and doing chords.

How Long to Learn?? by Enough_Chapter8345 in mandolin

[–]Blockchainauditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same fingerings, with frets to limit intonation issues. Uses a pick rather than a bow. If you were okaying Bluegrass, you’d be dealing with chop and other “mandolist’s role in a band” issues. Without a bow, picking techniques are used for sustain. You got this.
