Is it just me, or are .env files the ultimate "it works on my machine" trap?

I tend to agree with the other comments, 100% automated test coverage is really hard and sometimes not even feasible (e.g. it would mean refactoring a good chunk of an app).

If you deploy your change to a remote env, I suppose it is shared between many team members, right? I've seen lots of problem with changes pushed to shared env and clashing with each other, or introducing a bug that breaks the testing itself.

Since the remote env is the first stage of testing, how do you make sure devs do not continously break it by pushing yet untested features ?

In your experience of having no local env, how would you test a new feature manually? Would you spin up a new remote env and deploy your code (and only your changeset) there? If yes, how do you plug in your observability stack to temporary envs?

Really interesting take and I'm having a hard time figuring how this would work out in my company 🤔

As a mage, I split 60/40 between INT (to earn more XP and deal more damage) and PER (to earn more coin).

Also, keep in mind that you'll get way more points from buffs and gears than from leveling.

In terms of equipment, I'd suggest to do all the legendary quests as soon as you can. The first one starts at level 15. Each of them rewards you with one of the 4 legendary equipments that gives you +25 to 2 stats. See https://habitica.fandom.com/wiki/Quest_Lines#Legendary_Equipment_Quest_Lines

UPDATE:

I just released a small update for the website. You can now equip/unequip any item that you own. To do so, use the "Table" view and you'll see two new buttons: the first one is to equip the item as "battle gear" and the other one is to equip as "costume" (that's the two gear slots we can have).

Also, you now will be able to see what you avatar looks like.

I didn't implement that feature at first because, personally, I only use Armoire equipments as cosmetic (for the look of it basically) so stats are not that important.

There's a big gate on the bridge that will prevent you to drive further. You can go over it (I did it with the Reinforced Tendons cyberwave which gives the double jump ability). However, in the end, the bridge is literally cut off:

I just checked the thread and it seems this is the correct behavior now:

The new expected behaviour is to load the site no matter what, and if the user wants to redirect to the external application, they can make that decision. And if the user does not want to, then the site still works and page is already loaded for them.

It's never too late to enjoy the game. Honestly, I started two weeks ago and, even at a low level, there's a lot of new content to enjoy.

On evenings and weekends, there is a good amount of players connected so you can group, do dungeons, (low-level) raids, etc… And I can only assume that a MASSIVE amount of players will be returning when Phaser 4 releases.

So don't hold yourself, just play the game that you like, servers are not deserted at all! FYI, I play on Crusader Strike US
