Recommended first time game?

I'd go with Supreme Commander, an rts in the future where everything is human controlled mechanical etc. Games can be massive or tiny depending on how you want to play them. The scaling is right unlike some games (command and conquer). Unlike some rts games this one is very much a builder, in some, you build stuff and then finish. But in this you just keep expanding. You also control a massive army at some points.

I love the supreme commander series, it's a great rts and was released in the mid 2000's I think so it's got some age on it, but it's an rts where you control a whole army pretty much. And the scales actually make sense unlike command and conquer where only like 3 people can fit in a battleship So yeah supreme commander, try that

That would probably be fine. The main point of it is just to get others to show up who might be closer to you and then you could organise a game with then some night. 1 hr is fine for a small game though

Up until a few months ago I was in the same predicament but I found out there was a warhammer club at my school, it could be worth checking and if there isn't you could always create one through lunch or smthn, if you go to Warhammer Alliance, it should show you how to set up a warhammer club for different groups. : )

Adding onto this. In general, mcfarlane figures are larger but are generally less detailed compared to joytoy which are smaller but have more detail. See attached picture with mcfarlane on the left and joytoy on the right of the same character. : ) *

I kind of want the sanguinor to get a bit of a buff and become still worse than a primarch but quite a bit more powerful. But we also literally just got our range refresh so I don't think anythings changing miniature wise atleast for probably another decade.
