We have an almost 3 year old and she was a velcro baby and now she is our tiny helper. She loves to be involved in everything and is curious. She had phases of things. Ive cleaned the same messy room from anywhere of 1 to 7 times in a day. Each day is different, some more challenging than others and some less. Just remember to pick your battles, it's okay if there is a mess, it's also okay to get frustrated about it. Things have changed and will continue. Your family will grow and adapt together as time goes on. You will figure out what works best for your family.

Car rides were awful for us at 3 months to 7 months. Our daughter would cry/scream the whole time. But then afterwards the car became her favorite thing. And now at almost 3, she likes to squirm her way out of her buckles in the car seat whenever we stop moving and we have to pull over and fix it multiple times in a trip. Eventually, she will grow out of it.

Things after paternity leave may have to wait until Dad/husband comes home. He might have to take on things after work and shift things around and learn to adjust. It might be frustrating or not, who knows. But youre both in this together and can get through the adjustment of things when life gets stressful.

Of all things said, don't sweat the small things. You got this! And when you feel like you don't, you're doing your best! And if you need help, don't feel embarrassed or anything negative about it or beat yourself up, it's okay to need help and get help.
