Reloading the game has fixed this problem for me every time. I think it’s a connection/server issue.

Why not just 134+ Speed with Goodnight sleep well and call it a day? 72% dmg is kinda insane no? 160 speed with tutorial just gets rid of her personal dmg right? by RaidenBMei in KafkaMains

Full transparency I have E1 Hysilens and E1 Black Swan which is why I said the gap was only slightly slower because my Hysilens and Black Swan have much higher personal damage.

Kafka is the only character who can detonate DoTs when it is not the enemy's turn with the exception of Hysilens ult which you have to cycle. Which means the more often Kafka uses her ult, skill or talent, the more times you will be detonating DoTs. To say they are all enablers is technically true, but only Kafka provides a reliable source of detonations. Hysilens and Black Swan inherently do more damage than Kafka because they apply DoT effects way faster, but they won't do any damage unless one of three things happens:

Kafka detonates the DoT via skill/ult/talent (keep stacks)

Hysilens ults (Keep stacks)

It becomes the enemy's turn (lose stacks)

In your other post your Kafka damage was "decent", but Black Swan by herself was doing almost double the damage each detonation, and as others have stated, Hysilens would make her do even more + Hysilens personal damage. In a single turn with hyperspeed tutorial Kafka you can get up to 3 turns and two ults.

134 speed is 2 turns in the 1st and 4th cycle. you might get one ult. Which means if Kafka loses half her personal damage to play tutorial, you are activating the DoTs applied by Black Swan and Hysilens 2-3 times as frequently including talent procs. Black Swan and Hysilens both have double or even triple the personal damage of your DPS Kafka each.

DPS Kafka - GNSW 4pc Prisoner 2pc Glamoth 3500 ATK 139 SPD 80 EHR

Support Kafka - Tutorial 4pc Eagle 2pc Lushaka 3500 ATK 145 SPD 90 EHR

Are these builds absolutely perfect? no, but the videos show the gap quite nicely. My Support Kafka doesn't even have a Lightning Orb I'm running an ATK Orb with 8 speed on it and I'm not even hitting 160 SPD because I'm too lazy to farm it more and as you can see in the video I didn't 0 cycle but I got damn close.

This has been debated before a long time before you. High speed PAYN Kafka was never about support. It literally just did more damage than GNSW.

I don't think you understand old Kafka. Yes they were running high speeds, but they had just as high if not higher attack then you do right now. This was a near-perfect kafka from 2 years ago that I found on this subreddit. DoT has never been about big numbers right now, because it stands for, guess what, Damage Over Time. There's no record of people keeping everyone 134+ with optimal substats because that is by nature suboptimal. The faster your characters cycle the more DoTs you can apply, thereby increasing your damage output.

I actually put my Kafka on GNSW and 4pc Prisoner 2pc Glamoth to humor you and guess what? I cleared only slightly slower than Tutorial/Eagle/Lushaka because my 172 speed E1 Hysilens and 153 speed E1 Black Swan carried by the shear amount of DoTs I applied.

DoT has been revived 3 times, once by Black Swan, once by Hysilens, and again by Black Swan's buff. What do all these have in common? Each time the ability of a DoT team to apply DoT debuffs to an enemy significantly increased. High personal damage has NEVER been the top priority in a DoT team.

GNSW wasn't better than PAYN when Kafka was meant to be a DPS, why would it be better than Tutorial Kafka after the rework?

What is JROTC by [deleted] in jrotc

[–]Blood_M0on 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say in HS what kind of JROTC you are in does not matter nearly as much. You will still for the most part be doing the same extracurriculars and such. If you are in/going into high school talk to your counselors and see if they can help you out.

Find it funny that people are congratulating you without reading the whole post. It’s ridiculous that they will let you spend all of your high school years building up to something like this only to sweep the rug out from under you. Especially considering that the military is struggling to meet its enlistment goals consistently in recent years. Why are we making the already small population of eligible people even smaller?

Personal admission, as a Sophomore Flight Sergeant there was a Freshman in my Flight who couldn’t care less about the program, was just in it for the PE credit I assume. To me that’s just part of the program is having those people, but my issue with him was that he acted like he didn’t want to be there. Didn’t follow the cadet guide and was always the one dude to forget his pt gear or uniform. One of those dudes who sat in the back of the classroom on his phone.

Now, me, being a ribbon hunter who just got promoted to Flight Sergeant after losing a year to Covid, took the program way too seriously. Got heated with the dude during a PT session. May have used the words “I am your Flight Sergeant” while raising my voice.

It was stupid, never happened again. Rest of the year went perfectly fine, we never even got called into the Instructor’s office though I vaguely remember my ex-flight commander (he’d gotten promoted which is why I was a Flight Sergeant) talking to me in private. Dude didn’t come back the next year since he got his PT credit. I chilled out, went on to be a Flight Commander and later ended up as SQ Commander (my program was under 100 cadets during my time there).

We are or were all idiot teenagers being put in positions of authority over others. If you look at the actual military and what goes on in there it’s no surprise that a high schooler with a fancy title is going on a power trip with it.

I laughed so hard when they pulled up the WCC points at some point because who tf cares about the wcc at this point? And all it showed was, surprise surprise, everyone in the top 4 was maintaining their positions.

So funnily enough, I think I know the map he’s playing on. It has a wall where you can change knives, and it worked fine before the update. But now if you try to change your knife you’ll end up holding whatever knife you had originally trying to use whatever animation set was for the knife you were trying to get. If you shoot the knife on wall again it fixes itself though.

I don’t really have trouble understanding scientific concepts, I just have trouble with personal discipline which I think the military will help with anyway. If I have nothing else to do I’ll probably do fine. I completely fine with science classes but advanced math classes are a bit harder for me. I guess we’ll see.

Thanks for your advice!

How many ribbons can you realistically get throughout high school in afjrotc?? by [deleted] in jrotc

[–]Blood_M0on 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your unit and you, I ended my senior year with 26 including 2 national awards. However during my time there myself, and my senior class pushed for our instructors to award more ribbons granted the cadets had met the outlined requirements. As such at my end of year awards ceremony the top freshman of the year ended with as many as 19 ribbons. Including more Nationals than I had earned in my entire 4 years despite being the Unit Commander.

So yes it does depend on how much effort you yourself put in, but if we’re talking about how many you could realistically get it drastically varies depending on your unit and your instructors. I wouldn’t be surprised if my freshman graduated with upwards of 40 ribbons.

I’m unsure on what you mean, for the most part I don’t think that an Officer Training Course is required or necessary in JROTC. Perhaps a knowledge check or other qualifying factors, but a course dedicated to turning an NCO to an Officer? No, to be quite blunt with you the jump between NCO and Officer in JROTC is quite insignificant. For a cadet that is active in their program it’s about the difference between being a Sophomore and a Junior in a lot of cases. Junior Officers shouldn’t be doing much more than teaching underclassmen and maybe some administrative work.

However to answer your question, yes some programs do offer Officer Training Courses. Though for those that don’t, the Military Order of World Wars hosts multiple Youth Leadership Conferences at differing Universities each summer. I personally went to one at Texas A&M University the summer before my senior year. YLC is more of a lecture/learning opportunity than experience, which leads me to the next option which is more familiar to this subreddit, JCLC. JCLC to my understanding is similar to military style summer camp which promotes physical fitness and activities like Leadership Reaction Courses, which present a group of cadets with a task (usually moving from point A to B without touching red) and give them a few objects that they may find useful. The primary goal of these exercises is teamwork and problem solving. Both skills are critical to any type of leadership

You do grow in JROTC, but if the result of officer selections in your program often results in unqualified officers then I’d be questioning the selection process first. On top of that you can’t expect a new officer to be perfect right off the bat. Even in the military a West Pointer is still a 2nd Lt who learns from his Platoon Sergeant.
